So glad you devoted so much time to these vids, they’re amazing. Big congrats, see you out there on trails. Oh, and if you want more of those tarts hit New Bedford or Fall River. They’re called pastel de nata and they’re heaven.

2 1/2 hours of watching 5 days of racing trans Madeira had a smile all the way through awesome memories Made it to the end in one piece congrats to you and Ryan 👍 I was so happy to finish 5 days of racing but so sad at the same time that it was all over I forgot about you crashing in front of me arm and legs flying everywhere ha ha How do you compare trans Madeira to other races you have done If you had the chance would you go back to Madeira to ride some more relaxing uplift days Great job on all the videos 🔥🔥🔥👊

Couldn’t agree more brother. The reward of finishing was incredible, but we were so sad when it was actually over! This honestly doesn’t even begin to compare to our local racing. Our local races never truly give you this sense of adventure and camaraderie. Not sure I will ever be able to duplicated the high from this event, so it’s not if I go back, it’s when!

Great video mate, thanks heaps for taking the time to document it. One of the best weeks I've ever had on a bike, wish I could do it every year.

Great video series! Going there in two weeks now, I wonder if you have any tips on appropriate tires? Is the mud very sticky or does it wash out of the tires easily? Would an Assegai do on a wet day? Do I need double down tires or is exo+ with an insert enough? (The last one is so rider dependent, but I wonder what is your experience)?

Thanks! Stoked for you. You’ll have the time of you life. You are going to want a solid all around tire, because the conditions change a ton over the 5 days. The mud tends to be very very greasy. I ran Assegai front, DHRII rear. I’d def recommend running DD, because the course can get meaty at times and the last thing you want to be doing is changing a tire trailside on a big day.

@@MTBTravelReview Thanks for the tips! DD minions are all sold out, but I got hold of a continental kryptotal-r enduro tire that looks very similar.
