The parts that make me most suspicious is the crowd cheering at the new Fallout 76 stuff being free. Who the fuck is cheering that? We already knew it was going to get free updates before it even came out. That's not a surprise or a dramatic change. They're cheering over Bethesda doing the thing they said they would do.

The fake audience was utterly egregious and disgusting. Look, I get it. Bethesda doesn't want Todd to come out to boos and jeers because of Fallout 76, Elder Scrolls: Blades, and his current lack of credibility among the gamer populace. They don't want an audience that rolls its eyes at "hey look, the game now has NPC characters and an actual main campaign outside of collecting audio recordings. We finally added stuff to this game that you have taken as granted in every other game in the market for the past twenty plus years! Thanks for paying $60+ to alpha test our POS game!" They don't want an audience that laughs at the idea of Elder Scrolls: Lootbox Timers Vs. Paywalls being "the perfect fit" for the Switch. They don't want an audience that can't feign even a little enthusiasm for a Commander Keen phone game. They don't want an audience that will giggle ruefully at the cherry-picked quotes of praise for Rage 2, which launched to mediocre reviews and currently sits at 73 on metacritic. It might look bad to online viewers if Bethesda's lackluster previous year was acknowledged by the live crowd, let alone the speakers. However, putting plants and company employees throughout the audience to create artificial cheers for corporate newspeak is even worse optics than the jeers you avoided. The general gaming populace KNOWS that Bethesda burned a lot of its accumulated goodwill over the past twelve months. We KNOW that Bethesda Softwork's Gamebryo-based engine is old, buggy, and needs to be dumped. We know that Bethesda is increasingly pursuing predatory monetization policies. We know the company is facing some pretty severe quality issues, and the efforts here to whitewash it all just makes the situation all the more apparent. This was one of the worst E3 presentations I have ever seen. If not for EA, I'd say it'd be rock bottom in terms of quality. The only bright spots were Elder Scrolls Online and Doom: Eternal, but their shine was dimmed by the rubbish all around them. Bleh! Also, KZbin paragraph spacing is very finicky.

If people thought NPCs were going to fix Fallout 76 then I don't think they understood what that game was suppose to be. Then again I don't think Bethesda did either. NPCs are kind of the last thing I thought that game needed after sinking 80 hours into it, it needed to not be a Bethesda game for starters, it needed to be built from the ground up to be a proper survival game true to the theme of the franchise and not an afternoon console co-op game that happens to be online, which was a good chunk of the conflict surrounding it, on top of everything else wrong with it. Bethesda narrative hasn't been interesting since Morrowind (And the Dark Brotherhood quest in Oblivion). So I was glad we didn't have proper quests/NPCs in 76 because I knew it'd just be a huge waste of time, why do people want another mediocre narrative but online, online was our chance to escape that shit and instead have a much more mechanically deep and complex game and world that is entirely player driven, that's what 76 needed to be. Not this wishwashy confused mess where the game didn't know if it was going to be hardcore or casual and tried to do both, poorly.

Use the speed options in youtube to slow that DOOM streaming section down, the input delay is awful. It might even be fake as some of the joystick movements don't match up, or missing inputs, either way it's bad.
