As a fellow EV enthusiast (R1T and Y Performance) I for one, welcome you to the SC (and soon to the RAN) network. I believe you will experience painless road-trip charging. Both networks are very well maintained. Will there be the inevitable initial hick-ups…probably but they will quickly be resolved. Tesla has success charging other vehicles in Europe without difficulty so I believe that success will be manifested here in North America. Will there be Tesla owners who frown or are vocal against non-Teslas using the network…without a doubt. But hopefully this is a rare occurrence. We all want to further the transition so let’s be patient with one another and be understanding if that Chevy Bolt is charging at a snails pace or some vehicle is taking up two spaces. These are first world problems. Kudos to Farley and Musk for having the wisdom to make this happen.

Yes I believe you can. I did it the other day at a magic doc. The Tesla app only showed about four charging stations in the Metro Detroit that are compatible. And the one he's at did not show up there . At first I thought that's what the problem was. You can only charge using that adapter on Generation 3 chargers and above. That's a minimum of 250 KW charger. There are a lot of older generation Chargers out there that it won't work on, hopefully they update the entire network soon.
