@Quack How fast someone ages is usually hereditary. The only other factors are drugs, alcohol, stress, sun exposure. So if you have a healthy lifestyle, it doesn't mean you'll look youthful longer. I've seen people younger than me who look ten years older than me, and I'm 30

@@nnsph2 Some of the best tips I give to people who want to age well are: 1) Mind your business! Added stress = added mess. 2) Smile! Seriously, it's either that or frown lines. 3) Love with your whole heart! Nothing makes you feel better than a good hug, and FEELING good is part of LOOKING good. At the end of the day, how you look is going to come down to your genetics, diet, and exercise history. You can't really reverse the genetic part, so make sure you're eating well and getting up and about every now and then. But you will always look your best when you love the most!

People may be scared of aging because of death, but I'm scared of dying without having aged! Wrinkles, spots, and scars are stories our body tells us about everything we've been through. Aging isn't just about "looking old", it's about having the privilege to get old in the first place!

As a newcomer to Mia content, I will say I had to get over the shock first. After seeing so many women influencers trying to sell scams and AWFUL websites like Wish or Shein, I started to lose confidence in my choice to subscribe to Mia. But after watching a few more of her videos, I realized she was literally just trying to give these products a fair chance so she can show her viewers that their products are typically really bad, but in a way that was completely honest and not judgmental. Don't get me wrong, I am against fast fashion, but I also don't blame the young people who can't afford pricey, sustainable, ethically-sourced clothing. Watching Mia's videos gave me hope that we're still out here, trying to dismantle shady products by leaving honest (and often negative) reviews, while also giving others options to get what they need without being scammed. I still think we need to teach more kids about thrifting cool stuff to wear/use, but until then, they gotta do what they gotta do. That's just the world we live in and that's what I've come to really like about Mia.

Products were weird, fun and wildly expensive. I agree that no one should let media tell you to try anything to stay young. There are SO many filters out there to influence the "after" image. One product that at least has helped me (migraines etc) is a product Mia tested (maybe 6 months ago?) called Gua Sha. It is inexpensive, all over Amazon and actually feels good which is probably the best end result any procedure can give to you. Not sure about the "youth" claims, but it makes my face feel better and helps alleviate my sinus headaches. Do not bother with the creams that some of the Gua Sha sellers try to push, any face or eye cream will do.

The inflatable face thing is actually meant for East Asian beauty standards. It's a huge thing there to have a V shaped face, they do a lot of face massages and use face straps and shit to replicate that shape, shaving your jaw is also a really popular procedure. I think that in South Korea that trend is slowly starting to phase out and more natural face shapes are being celebrated and embraced, but in China it's still very much the trend.

the thing with the la mer eye cream is that it’s basically a glorified moisturiser which is most if not all eye creams as they have the same ingredients if not similar to the moisturisers the brands sell. rather than buying eye creams, you could just buy moisturisers because they usually come in larger amounts. if you do buy an eye cream, you can use it as a moisturiser as well.

Mia is a ray of sunshine, but her mom is the whole freaking sun! I adore both of you and wish I lived in Canada so Mama and I could hang out.

Thank you so much Mia for really putting the message out there: Let yourself age! Of course we should all try to take care of ourselves as best we can, but aging is beautiful and something not everyone gets to do. It is not easy fighting the constant stream of media attack, mainly aimed at women, to go to extreme lengths to look younger, but I love my laugh lines. I've come to accept that my forehead wrinkles don't disappear after a good night sleep. It's ok! I try and keep myself healthy on the inside, which is super important, and I try to live a happy and kind life.

the light therapy is actually a thing! I use it in the skincare/beauty salon. There are different types of colours with different properties. Like blue light for acne, red for rejuvinating and healing wounds, and so on. Have seen amazing results using light therapy, especially on healing wounds. We use something called dermalux if anyone's wondering

I love your message on aging. We try so hard not to shame people for things but we still do it so much with aging. It’s a privilege that not everyone gets to age.

Hi Mia! Red light therapy actually does work! But sometimes they put low quality led lightbulb, if so just apply more time. You can actually search for science papers which defends red for anti-aging, green for rosacea and purple for acne

Mama Maples is so sweet. As a hygienist she knows facial anatomy and instead of making you say it correctly she let you have that mispronounciation because "it's cute." She's so precious.

Dearest Mia, I am 57. And when I was your age I felt the same way as you do now. "Let yourself age naturally, it's meant to be." But as I began to age my tune changed because I no longer looked like myself. The buccal fat began pulling the corners of my mouth down giving marionette lines and I felt that I looked sad all of the time. As the upper eyelids began to droop and the 11 lines began to appear between my brows, I looked like I was scowling nonstop. So I began to search for products and devices that would help. And I found a few good ones and a few duds. For me, the method that I rely on most is quality hydration and skincare. I still have my devices and still use them occasionally, but I feel I have made the improvements that I was looking for without going under the knife. As a side note, I adore both of your channels. They are a breath of fresh air and they comfort me. Please don't stop! You and your family are wonderful!

Mia, you are such a positive influence and voice of reason ❤ Also, I am truly grateful we get to see so many videos with your mom. Your relationship is adorable, she's fabulous, and it shows me what having a loving parent really should be like. My mother was extremely neglectful and abusive and downright miserable. I find it healing to watch you with your mom and realize it wasn't my fault my mother couldn't be nice to me. You taught me that good moms can't help but show love, it beams out of them ❤
