The problem is that so many of these products would be good for people with disabilities and mobility issues, but they're not marketed that way and half the time they don't work.
@chaxinitus

I believe more than just "Would be good for", basically any of the ones that work (soapmagic, the jar opener, magic tap) ARE actually entirely intended for that demographic, but it's such a niche corner of the overall market that it's hard to find adspace for them unless you try to make the argument that it's for everyone.

@@tomdragamer It's sad but when abled people see disabled people using a product they think 'that's not for me' and brush over it. They'd rather relate to a cartoonishly incompetent abled person than a realistic disabled person who just needs a few tools to help in everyday life.

27:44 I had this thing and it’s actually goated. Only problem I ever had with it is that it sometimes overflowed with boiling water. Last year I was so tired that I accidentally put noodles in the microwave without water using that bowl and it melted, the noodles were as black as the bowl, and the whole house smelled like smoke for a month. RIP Rapid Ramen cooker, 2019-2022. He is survived by his brother, Rapid Mac cooker (blue variant).

You can disable tail lights so the truck looks like it's turned off. Actually I can't tell, it almost looks like the tail lights are on, but it might be the sun reflecting on them. true, but only if they work 🥴 something like that butter dispenser, for example, could be pretty handy for people who can’t properly grip silverware and other small tools like my late grandfather. i wouldn’t trust it not to break or make a mess, though, since most ‘as seen on TV’ products are just overpriced plastic junk. so instead of showing how their products could make life easier and more independent for people like him, we just get infomercials for usually-bad products being used by perfectly able-bodied people who are made to look like idiots incapable of using normal stuff 💀

@@666_cthulhu a lot of these products, like the butter dispenser, jar opener, and the drink funnel for inside the fridge worked just fine! i was also thinking of other "useless products" that come up a lot like sock and shoe-pullers. it's true that we should have more reliable, high-quality products that are made for us instead of having to use cheap gimmick products from television commercials, as the way they're shown on the commercials does definitely just make them look incompetent, i totally agree :(

The magic tap thing I actually found incredibly useful when I had my newborn baby boy to easily fill up his bottles one handed since he was obviously in my arms as well. And I had a second one I used for the big creamer cause my hubby alway always would spill it and leave it out of the fridge so it was well worth getting the huge bottle put that in and if he wanted creamer in coffee he had used that. Still ended up spilling alittle on occasion or it would have a bit drip but alot less and atleast it stayed in the fridge so I wouldn't get home and see he forgot to put it away so it was left out all day and now sour😅. It's that or powder creamer which I use occasionally too and yeah doesn't taste as good and now it's powder spilled no going bad but still powder all over. It's honestly same with sugar too it's better since I poured it into a small empty creamer bottle it spills less atleast cause yeah forget about asking him to atleast wipe up the mess. I asked everyday for 10 years with no change

My grandma got me that ramen cooker because I ate a lot of ramen when I lived with her, and my exact thoughts were, "Why?" (though I didn't voice that to her because it was a gift). My method for cooking it worked just fine and it doesn't take that long. Also I add leftover chicken and frozen vegetables to mine, so there's no room in it to add anything. I still have it. Sometimes I use it, but generally I consider it pointless. And also it does not work at all for Korean noodles, because Korean noodles are round so they fit in a bowl, and I kinda eat more Korean noodles than square ramen...

Not really, sponsors within media has always been a thing, it's not the same as infomercial marketing. The only comparisons drawn in this comment thread, would mean that every ad everywhere is an infomercial. Super bowl ads are infomercials then right? That's not how it works, look. We still have infomercials, new ones, there isn't a modern day version because this is still a thing, sponsorship ads in social media is a different kind of advertising, like regular 30 second TV ads are a different kind, and billboards are another kind, and website banner ads are another kind, they're all differentiated. KZbin sponsors would be closer to a Super Bowl ad or logos on race cars, than an infomercial. Now, if a KZbinr was working with a brand, not sponsored but as a collaboration, and made an actual infomercial style ad with explanations and testimonials, that would technically be an infomercial on KZbin. But generally sponsors just want you to say a few very specific things, and the only testimonial is yours, and you don't dedicate the whole video to the ad, it's just a segment of your own video. So no, not an infomercial. Infomercials were the entire programming for their time slot, that's why they went for 20 or 30 minutes. I took like a 3 month course on marketing and advertising in college and it's super simple to understand how it works.

That fan is literally sitting right next to me. Does in fact leak, but also just works fine without water anyway. Its honestly just fine. Nice for smaller spaces like having it on the desk. I have one, it doesn't leak though so unsure why some people are getting leaky ones. 2.0 is also great because I am stuck in a small room where the air conditioner just doesn't like to cool my room down or can't due to the angle. It definitely doesn't cool down bigger rooms, but my bed room is legit the perfect size for the artic air 2.0 to work (fan, air conditioner and even its humidifier option) XD

What's crazy about the ramen bowl is that whoever made that probably would have made way more money getting it mass produced and sold at Dollar Tree as a conveniently shaped bowl than they did trying to sell it through a (most likely pretty expensive) ad campaign.
