Vande Bharat Express is a medium-distance superfast express service operated by Indian Railways. It is a reserved, air-conditioned chair car service connecting cities that are less than 800 km (500 mi) apart or take less than ten hours to travel with existing services. The train entered commercial service on 15 February 2019.
Today, we took the beautiful journey from Bangalore to Mysore.
This train is amazing excellent service and great food and nice tea.
We found the seats that turn round unbelievable and the whole train rude was super comfortable.
We were sad to leave Bangalore but excited to see to Mysore.
We look forward to exploring.

The route between Bangalore and Mysore has a lot of curves and it is not possible for trains to go over 100kmph on those tracks. The same train goes close to 140kmph between Bangalore and Chennai.

This particular route was slow ...bcz it has many curves which is not feasible for semi high speed ...thats why this route ' max speed is 100kmph...otherwise normal routes have 130kmph and between dehli and bhopal ..its 160kmph

Happy that you guys enjoyed well. Apologies this may sound harsh but, The pronunciation of many cities names have been changed in India because the colonist once who clonized our nation changed the real names of our cities to break us down. Now the cities are been named back to its roots. Bangalore to Bengaluru, Mysore to Mysuru. The last sound ooru means place or village in Kannada. As colonist couldn't pronounce it properly they changed it according to their comfort. Not only in Karnataka but for ex even Bombay has been changed now to Mumbai and many more cities aswell.

It's a semi-high speed 🚄 train , not bullet train it's under construction. And the food depends on the region of the country. The seats in Excutive class rotates 180° . Normally this train goes in 140km/hour but maybe there was some work or some issue with the rout .

It's not a bullet train, it's Vande Bharat semi high speed train, where it has the capacity to travel at 180km/ hr, currently, VB trains run around 130 to 140 kmph ..Bullet train work is going on in full swing across India, the first bullet train will run between Mumbai and Ahmedabad by end 2025 or early 2026, it runs at 350 Kmph ...

Dear Kay, Gogo really nice to see you enjoyed Vande bharat journey. The sweet you had called sonpapdi, ya it really melts in the mouth. I had travelled from Paris to Brussels by such a train. I too had enjoyed that 2 hour journry, infact all schengen countries are nicely connected with each other by rail route as they dont need multiple visas for travel within the group countries. Indian Railways has also developed a lot over the years but yes there is lot more room to improve. Hope you guys enjoy your visit to Mysuru too

Hope you two are safe in India. There was an unfortunate gangrape of a Brazilian woman biker in Jharkhand a few days ago. Please be vigilant. especially in deserted areas of the country. India is not safe for its own women, let alone foreign women. It is regressive in 2024, but even in the big cities, Indian men are not used to seeing women show skin. They interpret that as an invitation to rape her. As an Indian woman, I am ashamed that the unfortunate woman had to go through that traumatic experience. Please be vigilant and stay safe, both of you!
