The green stuff was likely some kind of Bondo. There are marine grades of bondo type materials that are not susceptible to water. Evercoat kitty hair is a product Napa sells, may be worth checking out.

More power to you both. I would spend the money rather than try to clean that piece off. I have no patience. And I know my husband would want to do it one way. But first he would have to stand there and think about it for at least a half an hour. We don’t work well together. I want to get something done. And he wants to stand there and look at something and think.

I’m not sure what you’r camper name brand is but . I’m wondering when I fix it will state having. Manual’s or how they were made . They have stuff on John Deer Trackers. .
