@Jacob E Our bodies adapt to the weight. Even me, a person with joint and cartilage issues can carry my own weight with little to no problem. More weight, bigger muscles you know :3 The issues I personally have come from those joint problems, that I also had when I was thin, that made exercise difficult even back then. But othewise carrying the every day weight? Not that much of a problem. (I'm about Kristen's size too) Big issue is people who want me to exercise by running. Like, literally, for some reason that is a THING. That's what so many people want. I can't. I do well in pool and yoga has been good. Do I look graceful while doing that? Nope, probably not. But I can do those things. And have fun with them. Running on the other hand? It's an definite NO, from my doctor also. Yet bc I'm not out there, running, it's not good. But tbh, fuck people? HAES is not a lie, it's just that your surroundings don't accept it and you are not immune to that negative feedback. And HAES does not mean you cannot struggle with actual health issues. The fact that my cartilage wants to crumble to dust does not mean I can't be otherwise healthy. I just have my own ways to move to stay fit. And if that does not result in weight loss? Who gives a shit, my cholesterol values are better than most any thin person.

@Jacob E If you are unhappy with your weight, it's okay. You can work to be healthy and you can be active! I roller skate about 1-2 hours on days when I skate, it's great for you and it's fun. I recommend just trying different things until you find the right thing for you.

I agree. Most performers who get into auditions and pass are usually former or current gymnasts who spent years and years perfecting their techniques. And most of them don’t start as artists. Most of them are professional gym athletes and take mandatory extra training to become Cirque artists. Also, even the performers with a strictly circus background don’t easily get in. From all the documentaries I’ve seen, they tend to look for talented people with an “inner artist” in them.

the costumes are all made custom, so that would mean a lot of tailoring, a lot of time and a lot of money just for this one performance. yes, it would have been cool but the cons have outweighed the pros.

As someone who is plus sized and also has confidence issues, this was an AMAZING video to watch. Seeing all the girls get out of their comfort zone, do these exercises as best they could and not get upset that they weren't as good, that rocked. Also Kristin, you forking killed it and it's awesome! You boosted my confidence and I thank you so much for that.

After watching this, it’s so amazing to see how these men and women work together to put on their shows. It’s a lot of work and definitely is meant for those that really put their hearts and souls into Cirque De Soleil. Every audition they’ve been to, and each moment that they spent wondering and dreaming about being on that very stage was something that many don’t know about. Everyone thinks it’s so easy to get into that elite audition or just get a call back, but it’s really about your stage presence and if you have that ability to draw in someone’s attention and see their story unfold.

Kristin is truly a role model for me as a plus size girl Everytime I go out with friends who are thinner and we are doing something like this either thin air or anything like that I usually would just stand to the side act like I'm not interested in having fun with them simply because I always feel like everyone's watching out for the bigger girl like there's no way I could actually be active at all but Kristin and many other plus size girl on BuzzFeed really give me that confidence to show that if my weight bothers you thats on you I will keep living my life
