I think it's the attitude of 'everything can change'. I use Pinterest a lot for inspiration too. Anything made of wood can easily be painted in any colour you want (other materials too, but wood is the easiest imo), hardware can be replaced, you can put paper or plastic foil on lots of things, etc. Try to imagine what look you want in your house and find shapes that fit (colour can be changed much easier than shape). We have an eclectic home, so almost any type of furniture will fit in with our style. What makes it cohesive for us is colour. All our furniture is either brown or yellow or grey or black. So I look for furniture that I love and ignore colour. I have this faux chest of drawers (the top two drawers are one lid to hide TV things inside) that looked bad. The top was chipped, and the lacquer was peeling and there was some staining and what looked like water damage. We bought it super cheap, sanded it completely and filled up the damage with wood filler, all the damage was superficial and once sanded it looked much better. The wood wasn't top quality, pretty soft, hence all the dents we had to fill in (it's a faux dresser, like, it's trying to look antique but it isn't) so we painted it grey, including the handles. It now has quite a modern vibe with an antique shape. :)

I love how there were only 5 dino knobs, cause you kinda expect it to be an even number of knobs but then it's five of them and it's a bit imperfect and I just love that!! Also, for all those who are asking, I think TSG have made this kind of knobs earlier, you just buy some dino toys and spray paint them. Such a cool hack for new knobs!

Buy some dinos, drill a hole and put a long screw through.. Once painted you'll barely see the screw. Or use a headless thread, screw half way in and glue the screw into place. You won't see a screw that way. Hope that helps :)

Love your channel ladies.... and If you want to save a TON of money in the future... instead of buying pre-made chalk paints (which are expensive), get yourself some "Marble Dust" and make your own chalk paint. Its EXACTLY what is in store bought chalk paint.... its really cheap... go on amazon and look up marble dust and you will see how cheap it is. You can then mix it into ANY acrylic or latex paint to make chalk paint. It will look exactly like store bought because thats all store bought chalk paint is.... marble dust added to paint. AND you can adjust the amount you put in the paint depending on what your doing. You can even make a chalk board our of any color on any surface! :)

oh my gosh yes i was screaming that the whole time!!! like they are using dry wall putty for a table... walls don't get touched very often but a coffee table gets used all the time it won't work like its supposed to

@@cassidy983 If you paint over it and either wax or some sort of sealant you're fine. Wood filler isn't that strong either and won't hold up to repeated handling unless you seal it.
