We Traveled to Medjugorje - A Holy Place

Greetings dear Friends!
We're back!
This time we have traveled to the holy town of Medjugorje,
Bosnia And Herzegovina. Medjugorje is one of the world's most famous pilgrimage sites, counting more than 30 million visits since 1981.
We have visited the two famous apparition hills, where the
Virgin Mary has been allegedly appearing since 1981.
From the hills, we went back to the center of the town where we have filmed the St. James Church; the main spot for the pilgrims. We have spent a day in a private castle, which is unique for this part of the world. Our trip included a visit to the Ethno village hotel and resort. The time stands still here, as everything looks the way it looked like in the past. We were mesmerized by its authenticity and felt like we just stepped into a time machine. Finally, we went to the beautiful Kravica waterfalls, the most beautiful part of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

No mention of seers, messages, conversions, or profound confessions, or a change of life ? That is the whole purpose of Medjugorje. Medjugorje is not a hot place to tour or place where one places check box. Medjugorje is one of the most peaceful places on earth, one for conversion.

Yes it is amazing place to visit. The place is Etno Selo hotel and the restaurant near Medjugorje. The pool is 500 meters from Etno Selo.

Hello.. my wife is planning a trip this Sept to Medjugorje. I understand from some that the climb uphill can take about an hour specially for elderly. Is that about right and i imagine people may stay up there a while… by any chance, is there public bathroom up the hill? I imagine not but just thought i ask of people who have been there. Thank you

Unfortunately no bathroom there, but at the start of the path there are washrooms.

Nice! I am planning my trip to Medjugorje, should I stay a night there or take a day trip from Mostar, what do you reckon?

Thanks, you don't need to sleep in Medjugorje from Mostar to Medjugorje in only half an hour,. But if you want to spend the evening there, or have a nice dinner etc.... Medjugorje is very pleasant to walk in the evening in summer months especially because the heat goes away. Have a fun 😊

We keep our faith for ourselves ♥️ and private. This is travel channel and we want to keep him in that tone, Medjugorje visiting many people who are not catholic like we are, and we don't want to offend anyone or push our believes to someone else.

@@CroatianTravellers Yeah. This is a travel channel. But that doesn't mean you are not allowed to speak about the apparitions, although you are not catholics. Lost Leblanc are Kara and Nate are also travel vloggers. But they speak about their faith openly. It didn't affect them negatively. But Medjugorje is a special place. It was famous for Marian Apparitions. And this is a pilgrimage site. Not a regular travel place. You have to keep that identity. You must not believe it. Just mentioning what is happening in Medjugorje ,does not affect you and your channel or your viewers negatively............

@@CroatianTravellers I’ve been there 5times and going back at the end of October. Called Apparition hill because there was an alleged apparition (appearance) of Mary, mother of Jesus there in June 1981. The hill was known as “Podbrdo” before that.
