Oh my, these profiterolles look really large, rather unusual size for Paris. I guess you guys were quite full and omitted la tarte tatin, another iconic dessert served in Paris bistrots. I admire your total dedication to this episode, this is tough work but one's got to do it. 👍

HI you guys...i found your utube channel while viewing french foods about a year ago and hands down, your channel is the most down to earth and genuine "foody" type channel showcasing french foods/towns. the fact that both of you are in your "mid 30's" lends itself to the laid back feel for your trips and adventures....no flashy gimmicks, photoshops, silly glamor shots, etc. because i have a tendency to rant for hours.....in other words, its nice to see a normal American couple that has made france their home and share it with the rest of us. one last comment....whose ever home you all film in is beautiful! thanks

I remember before my first trip to Paris, a French woman I worked with told me that it was illegal to serve a bad meal (food item) in Paris and for all the places that I have eaten at both in Paris and around France I believe this is true. Your video brought back great memories.😊
@jean-paulpotet1988 Жыл бұрын
The only thing that is basically illegal for French restaurants is to sell yesterday's dishes. Everything has to be freshly cooked. That's why every night they give the left-overs for free to vagrants at the back door. At least it's a tradition, so I don't know itf it is still true.

Pets de nonne, are more doughnut like. Crepe Suzette is usually made with more of a buttery orange sauce. Easy to make at home. Just buy ready made crepes. In a frying pan add half a pint of clementine juice or smooth orange juice and 2 oz of butter. Boil, taste, add sugar to your liking, add grande marnier to your liking. Reduce on the hob to half volume. Add in the crepes to heat through. Serve. For French style flambe, add a little warmed grande marnier and light.
