Spanish food is generally good, but you gotta know the best places to eat certain dishes. Most of the restaurants are tourist-focused and don't really offer the best versions of the typical dishes (saying this as a native Spanish). And YES, we do drink the hot chocolate 😂 Anyway, glad you enjoyed the trip!

Andy🌻 I don’t think they were surprised in general that you do drink hot chocolate at all but they were surprised that you get so much chocolate with churos because I have been in Spanish food place in England and they give very little with churos. Basically not even enough to dip all the churos in. So maybe that’s why. That is why you have t go to the country where it’s made to get the real deal :)
