Hi Jen! I didn't know about the sound bath experience that was explained, but it did remind me that last month I had extreme nausea from a condition I have, and out of desperation I found these anti-nausea sound videos on KZbin that had sounds like this and also rain sounds and all sorts, and it surprisingly helped! I don't doubt the salt/sound bath would be amazing!

Hi Jen, I did my first sound bath about 8 years ago. If nothing else, it was the first time my mind chilled. My adhd was fed and satiated. It was like it took all the different threads of thought and wove them into one thread. It left me feeling recharged and rested. I know what you mean about your description. I understand that analogy.

I have to say, when the lady was describing the sound bath, i was sceptical, but even through the video, I could feel the resonance in my body. I think I would love this experience in real life!
@ashybear200910 ай бұрын
I was skeptical at first too, but then when she saturated the sounds, I literally felt a huge drop of anxiety and felt so relaxed. That was just for a few minutes from the clip. I can only imagine what a whole session would be like. That was amazing. Thank you for sharing your experience with us Jenn. It’s been a hard year for us. We lost two very important members of our family and I never knew about this and now I want to try it out myself.

After you wipe down the pail, sprinkle a few drops of an essential oil in the bottom of the pail and in the top around the bag opening, helps a lot , and a sprinkle baking soda to help absorb too!

For diapers, we used plastic bags to wrap each one and threw it in to the regular trash can, and we never had smells. We used our plastic grocery bags we had from shopping or the ones that are sold in the baby area at stores.

Time really flies--it seems like Jackson was a little buddy about to start walking last week--and now Oliver's here, and Jackson has grown so much! I've found that Dana K. White's No Mess Decluttering method (she's on KZbin) works really well for me--because even if you have a short time to work or get interrupted, you just follow the process and work on one area at a time, instead of pulling everything out all at once. I've had a stressful.....last 6 weeks or so--and hearing all the cool sound bath instruments was so relaxing. Also, being so far from the beach, and having not been since 2018, I think I need to visit a salt room soon.......

I’ve been watching a KZbinr who organizes and they suggested just declutter one drawer or cabinet at a time. Because pulling everything out is overwhelming and harder when you have kids. But if you do 1 or two a day it will be decluttered in a short amount of time (especially compared to how long it takes if you wait until you have time.) Hope that helps.

You need to add baking soda in the bottom of your diaper pails. The soda is designed to absorb the smells. But you need to clean the pails first. Then change the soda each week. It works like a charm.

I worked at a preschool, in the two year old room, and we would individually bag all poop diapers and wipes. We also put a Febreze Small Spaces Air Freshener at the bottom of the trash can under the bag. It helped immensely with the smell!

Hey Jen, We didn't use a diaper genie. We would wrap up the stinky diaper in a couple shopping bags and take it right out to the trash. If I were you and you still wanted to use the diaper genie, I'd just use it for the wet diapers instead. Hopefully that will help!

I have a 3 year old, with another baby on the way in June. I've never owned a diaper genie, just used a normal garbage bin with scented bags. The key is change out the bin every day, but make sure any poopie diapers get bagged up separately and thrown out into your outdoor garbage. I would honestly just get rid of the diaper genie and use a garbage can with a lid, preferably one that has a foot lever so you don't need to open it with your hands. Hope this helps!

Jen applesauce is so delicious homemade. Peel and chop apples put in a pan with a splash of water and cinnamon sticks. You want to soften them adding water if necessary. When soft mash them (the meat masher works great). You mash to your consistency we like it chunky. You can add cinnamon if you like. If you would like it a bit sweeter add some brown sugar. This is the most delicious and easy treat the boys will devour it.

For the smell of the diaper pail try dryer sheets. I would put one to push the diaper down and then I laid one over the hole to block the smell and it helped a lot.
