I think the rs3m 2020 after 3 long years is still one of the most reliable and consistent cubes out there. I personally have the super rs3m ball core version and it's too blocky and does not corner cut as well as the rs3m 2020 does. That's why I still main it. 😊

Among other types, I own a little collection of budget cubes too, but they're all non magnetic. I bought them just for fun, to check and compare, and although obviously they're no match for magnetic cubes, some of them go really fast and smooth. Thanks for the vid bro, it was very interesting to see.

The Kylin V2M was my favorite budget cube before the RS3M 2020 came out, pretty decent for it's price and release date, but obviously somewhat dated. Looking solely at price/performance, I'd recommend either a Little Magic or a Meilong 3M, as they're more reliable and less fussy, or the RS3M if you don't mind the weight, as it's vastly better for an extra dollar or two. One thing worth pointing out about the Kylin V2M is that there seem to be huge differences in performance between the transparent and black ones. I've seen many people complain about the black ones suffering a lot with wear after just a few weeks of use, while the transparent one seems to have no such problems, pity it's not competition legal, that thing is super smooth and pleasant to use. It was also my "backup" cube while I used the 11M Duo as my main, as the Duo is way too ridiculously tolerant of sloppy turning and the Kylin is pretty unforgiving in this regard. The QiYi MS was a cube I desperately wanted a reason to hate, as it's way too clacky and loud for my taste. But the performance is just there, it's easy to setup, has no serious performance related flaws, responds well to a wide variety of lubes. Seriously, if this wasn't so obnoxiously clacky, it would be one of the best budget cubes out there.

The yuxin kylin has really good quality control, I've had three of them throughout the years and they've always been really stable and never corner twist

I've been cubing for over 6 years but it was on and off but 2-3 months ago i started to cube again in the 6 years i used 1 cube. The shengshou Aurora v3. It served me well but its getting bad now so i finally decided to get some Cubes. I got a flagship tornado v3 and super rs3m 2022 on the way.

Don't know what Diansheng did to their 3M they sent out to you, but there is none of these Smartcube Style Centerpieces on mine (bought it about April-May this year). It has a matte plastic finish, quite like a QiYi Sail or Warrior in my book. The magnets inside are not that noticeable strong, but it keeps its shape quite fine. Speaking of 2x2 up to 4x4. Have also the other WCA used sizes, but I'm still learning and I haven't made it to the bigger cubes just yet. There is not much I could complain about them. Yes, fresh out of the box, the sound is a bit sandy/scratchy but that's nothing, some lube can't fix. It doesn't have as many adjustment options as some other cubes - agreed. But do you really need that, if you get yourself a budget cube? E.g. a more pricey GAN 356RS feels much worse than this Cube of Diansheng. Not sponsored, not affiliated.

Yeah I had a look at TheCubicle's listing of the product and it looks very different. The one I got was from Diansheng directly. Pretty sure its the same cube just with different centre caps but I'm not 100% sure tbh. In terms of whether or not features are needed or not, a lot of them aren't needed. However, if another cube at the same price has better performance as a result of more features and customisation then I find it hard to recommend the simpler cube with poorer performance.

NIce video! I think out of all the cubes in the Qiyi MS line (3x3, 2x2, Pyraminx) The 3x3 was worst but the rest of the lineup is great for beginners or anyone who wants a cheaper option.

5:35 - What? Mine comes very tight. And the dual adjustment thing comes on 1. And after losing a bit the screws, the white face unscrew itself. That and the spring noises disappointed me. QY 6€ (on sale) cheapest cubes doesn't make noises. The only thing I like it are the strength magnets compared to the Super 2022 ball core I use as a main. It works for me, but a want to try it with a stronger magnets.

why did you even compare the RS3M Maglev if it's $4 more than the rest of these cubes? aren't the requirement is under $10? if you want to include it, then why didn't you include the MonsterGO EDU, Swift Block 355S and Solar S3M

I explained in the video that i compared it because people seem to ask about it when mentioning the RS3M 2020, given the cube is essentially the same but with maglev. So whilst it didn't make the requirements for the video, I was exploring whether or not the most popular 3x3 (RS3M 2020) with the addition of maglev was worth it.

the thing with the rs3m 2020 is that you need to maintain it with lube. when i mained it i didnt have lube, so it started feeling pretty bad. but after that i cleaned it up and lubed it and it feels amazing, its my oh main now. so yeah, really great budget cube if you maintain it properly
