I could see Annie’s tasting like homemade. Annie’s doesn’t use a lot, if any processed ingredients in their foods, so if I were to buy a canned biscuit, probably not though, I’d buy Annie’s, otherwise, if I didn’t want to make them, I’d buy them trough a restaurant chain, ( Popeye’s, Bojangles, CFA ) 😎👍

Yes but it’s not always plausible. I live alone. I get the frozen kind so I can make 1-2 and not have to make awhole can. I also for health reasons never wanted my moms recipe cause I know myself I’d make them all the time. I do love a good homemade biscuit and gravy. There are even some restaurants who make great biscuits

For our British beastie friends, I have done some baking of both American biscuits and British recipes, and the best way I can describe it is that a biscuit is similar in ingredients and baking style to a scone, but it is made with more butter. 😊 It can be a bit croissant like, too, when it is made to have layers.

Cheese scones exist which means they can be savoury. They are just served with butter and a pairing jam/chutney. They just arent as popular as plain/fruit scones that are used in cream teas.
