Kambo is a cleanse people in LA are talking about - and using. It is a South American practice where the toxin of an Amazonian tree frog is burned into human skin for its purgative effects. It isn’t officially classified as a medicine, but a growing number of people are practicing kambo in small group environments for its health benefits.
Playboy’s Yoonj Kim takes the kambo for herself in a session with Simon Scott, a practitioner who learned the process from native tribes in the Amazon. While her body expectedly purges itself of the poison, what happens to her face is completely shocking. Find out what happens and how she felt afterward.

My friend died from this 2 days ago, at age 35 . She stopped breathing and went into a coma at one of these sessions. She did this many times before and she was an instructor also. I would like to bring awareness to the terrible side affects from Kambo! I really don't understand how this could have medicinal affects? This is a sham and would like to warn people to be careful and do deeper research and evaluation of this before doing this!

mmmmSmegma you can just film someone throwing up without mounting a camera INSIDE the thing your throwing up into. It was totally unnecessary. It wasn't meant to be a cinematic masterpiece. Exactly. It's like begin sick because you had food poisoning. Your body removes what doesn't belong there. You throw up. You probably go #2 and feel great after because you're not sick anymore. It's a mind trick. Maybe this is some kind of addiction. People who want to feel pain or feel like shit before they feel good. Like any healing process. Shit is going to feel worst before it gets better. Maybe they just need a good cry because that always makes me feel like I went through a cleanse.

Not surprising what so ever if you're looking for a spiritual experience or cleanse I would highly suggest looking into ayahuasca it's not capable of killing you but, you will sure feel like it unless you're in a good place and have a very healthy body. Plus there is no need to harm or harass any living creature besides a plant that just might want to talk to you anyway. Haha Really though this is no better than the people catching and hurting the sonoran desert toad to harvest 5-meo dmt leave the defense mechanism in the animal it's not there for you.

@RamireZTKD 4 жыл бұрын
@@colindavis2113 That might be so, but it still doesn't make it less poisonous lol. I mean shit I used to feel so refreshed after vomiting a few shots of tequila. In a sense alcohol is also poison. Just because you paint yourself with an amazonian frogs sweat with a bunch of dreadlocks wearing white people and some other hipsters in a remote location it doesn't mean it's "energetic cleansing", it just makes the placebo more believable.
@colindavis2113
@colindavis2113 4 жыл бұрын
RamireZTKD I mean I haven’t seen any literature saying it is or isn’t poisoned so I really don’t know if it is or not. You probably felt good after throwing up because our bodies really aren’t made to drink alcohol. Same can be applied for Kambo, ayahuasca, peyote, etc. but overall I’d say the latter is safer than alcohol. All I can say if it is as poisonous as alcohol your still not doing all the time so that’s better. And I can say for a fact that this stuff works. I don’t look at it as a “cleanse” but as a medicine and I do think there is something on an energetic level taking place. It really opened up my heart and helped me forgive and heal past wounds. If anything that wasn’t placebo because I’d never heard of that happening to other people before.

"People change after kambo" well duh. Have you ever had a really bad stomach virus and the whole time you're praying that you feel better, praying this only lasts a couple hours or at most a day, and that you can get some rest? I know when I'm sick, I play over ever bad decision I've made in life and promise myself once I feel better, I'll change those things and take life more seriously. These people probably feel like they're dying and wonder if they might, so you start saying "I'll do better, I'll do better". That's just a normal reaction to fear. Like whenever you so wrong and are scared of getting caught (stealing, being lazy, breaking something on accident, etc). Your body has to work to fix everything after the posion so of course you feel better also. It's releasing endorphins which is normal to pain response (hence why people who get tattoos feel okay for awhile but not when the adrenaline and enorphins wear off)

The only reason people think chemo works is because so so so many more people are getting cancer. Our grandparents and great grandparents never had cancer in the epidemic proportions we have them today. We live in a reactive society not a proactive one! Chemo is a reactive drug. It was created to treat something you already are dying of. Kambo and other things are a proactive medicine. Look at this artical in therapeutic uses. shhhhhhh, people only believe in "science" nowadays. What they don't understand is that science is ever advancing, what's believed to be cutting edge "science" yesterday or 100 years ago could be proven false the next day or 100 years later. But people are limited, they only believe what's now, what they can see with their own physical eyes. Sad we are so disconnected with reality.

i dunno, kambo is antiparasitic, antiseptic, antibiotic, anticancer and hiiiiighly unlikely to cause longtern adverse reactions. I haven't heard or read many bad reviews of thousands of people who've done it in recent years. do some research, friend! much love.
@jeremyhenderson9488
@jeremyhenderson9488 5 жыл бұрын
@@HannahRosetheVeganNomad Where the fuck did you get that info? You are soooooooo full of shit, I just had to respond. The science behind physiological reactions and the properties that opioid peptides have is straightforward. This is poison, and you are introducing it into your body in the most ludicrous way possible. Burning yourself? I'd rather inject pure peptides subcutaneously. THERE IS NO SCIENCE THAT SUPPORTS YOUR CLAIMS! The person above you wasn't worth responding to, but you are something else. But on a more personal and subjective level, I give you my personal testimony that it's poison. It doesn't take a doctor to realize that swelling of airways and purgative effects that last after vomiting are bad. Obviously being an opioid peptide, it has the analgesic properties after it binds to the receptors... but also as an opioid peptide it can induce respiratory depression more easily than morphine. That's all a bad combo. I've done this by myself before, and it did not feel medicinal. You need that other type of amphibian for the magical properties 😉. Seriously though, when did it, I made sure I wasn't on any medication that could have adverse interactions. Especially things like MAOIs. I also made sure my stomach was empty so I didn't asphyxiate on vomit. I also made sure my "site of administration" was cleaned both prior and following the experience. It poisoned me, it felt like hell. It's not helpful or healthy. Even Hamilton Morris didn't like it.

Having done Kambo several times and worked closely with a healer, I feel like there are a lot of preparations that were left out. There’s a whole diet to lead up to it, as well as a significant amount of water ingested before receiving medicine to help everything purge. Also for the first time, it’s traditional for women to receive the points on the right ankle, furthest from the heart and only three points to allow the body to get acquainted with the medicine. It shows some but I don’t feel like this gives the fullest insight.

I take part in Kambo ceremonies. Very traditional tribal type. It has helped me in various ways. My inflammation has dropped immensely. As well as many other blockages. I work with a shaman that works in the Amazon. I have been in the Amazon as well. It is important we have respect for the ppl of the Amazon and the earth medicine. I believe in earth medicine all the way! Plant medicine!!! Is coming back. Once the fads and extremists die down. We must respect these medicines and LISTEN to the ones that guide us in these ceremonies. So.. first always get to know the ppl involved. Also.. proper preparation is very important!!!!!

I've been researching kambo for several months. From what I've learned, that many points on a small person for first dose should be considered medical malpractice! He's overdosing her and putting her in danger, very irresponsible. Most practicioners recommend 1-3 points for a first dose. There is real psychological healing and body cleansing through this practice. The comments here show me these types of psycho-spiritual/entheogenic medicines are sorely needed in western society which is severely mentally I'll on whole. I love you all. Love yourselves. Blessings.
