That fish deserves a larger, more suitable home. I hate to be the one in the comments that has to point it out, but as a fish youtuber I feel like it’s my duty. That betta should be in at least a two gallon tank, and it would appreciate substrate (although not necessary), more plants, and other decor to prevent from boredom. Because bettas are tropical fish, it should also have a heater.

That fish is a beta (they don’t need filtration), they don’t necessarily need a big square tank, they can breath air, and they don’t have to have a lot of decorations (maybe a little house thingy so it can hide, but that’s really all you need.)

Although it should be on lower setting as they aren't the strongest swimmers. If the current is too strong it could also end up damaging their delicate fins.

Rachel Matthiesen ACTUALLY the only reason the fish is slow is because it’s cold, betta fish are really active fish if their in atleast 75-80 temp water. The only reason the fish is “slow” is because it’s lethargic and trying to keep warm. And you indeed do need a filter like any other tropical fish

That's a sad betta fish 🐠 The tanks still require a filter, the rumors of Betta in small pockets of water are not true. If it's surviving, doesn't mean it's thriving. Some body get that Betta a filter! :c
