Good video yes I hate having to much stuff a lot of people have so much clutter you can barely find a place to sit down I personally don't even like painting walls in a house for example somebody else may say they don't like that color so I like to keep everything clean and original like it was made to be so I guess what I am saying is that less is more I am glad katy asked you what you think about each item because some people would just start throwing things out without any regards of anything and like they say one man's trash is another man's treasure so good Idea to donate because jesus said the poor you have with you always and jesus said when you helped the least of these you also helped me so we are to be good stewards and help each when we can so this is a good life lesson to learn and I appreciate this very special specific video witytravels from start to finish this has been another amazing inspiring video on how to reorganize everything what a difference having a little patience and perseverance does so happy for this incredible video of the sacrifice of completing a mission congratulations what a difference like night and day so good choice of getting rid of the very costly storage unit so again thanks witytravels on inspiring us on how to get it done from the beautiful state of florida 👍 👍

You are right. It is su much better to not have a bunch of junk. Keep everything clean and organized and don't hold onto what we don't need. ❤️❤️

Love it first item - yep that's staying!!! We so need to do this! Right Wills is watching this tonight, he has about 140 T-shirts, he wears about 10! Thats great that you managed to donate so much. Your room looks great! Good on saving the storage fee as well! Cheers 🍻

It's definitely a great experience to go through! I (Will) used to collect t shirts and souvenirs as well, but that just takes up too much room, especially when you know you will not be able to wear these shirts. Thanks friends! 🍻

Will, you have saved a LOT of T shirts! I had saved shirts from the decades of my life and I had a hard time getting rid of them. I am a very sentimental person. I finally decided to photograph the most important sweatshirts and T shirts and make a small Shutterfly book (I had a free coupon!) to remember them by. The tiny book takes a lot less room than the dozens of shirts!!!

I hear ya! It's hard to part with some stuff. The Shutterfly book is such a smart idea. It better be in magenta colored!

I'd not heard of a Swedish Death Clean before your video - now I know what it is! I suspect most of us are hoarders, I know I'm guilty of keeping way more stuff than I need just because it's easier that throwing it away. I really should go through some of my old t-shirts! It looks like you've made some real progress towards your goal, you really smashed that job of emptying out the storage unit - that's over a thousand dollars a year back in your pocket! Great that you donated a load of belongings too.

Comedian Amy Poehler is the Executive producer and narrator of the show "The Gentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaning" that's how we heard about it. This is your sign to start going through your stuff and get rid of what you don't need! One day it would be nice to have enough money to have a full time house or apartment to put all of our things into once place, but like you said storage units are so much money.

I'm watching this video while sitting in my VERY cluttered office. I am trying to work up the motivation to clear it out. We have realised that when we live overseas for 5 months at a time we are able to subscribe without all these papers and binders. We need to purge SO.MUCH.STUFF!

It is a huge undertaking. But so worth it! This is your sign to start!

This is very lightening and encouraging! I am still waiting for a couple of months to pass and then do this same thing, just taking the courage. Thank you for the push! 😇😆

College textbooks... things that previous generations hold on to. My sons didn't even buy books when they went to uni!!!

Yea, I didn't really use them when I was IN college. The things we tell ourselves we will handle that we never get around to. Don't blame them for not buying books.
