Not just comedic effect, Joanna more represents raw courage & smiling humility. Her exploits remind me of the painful semester I took advanced pys ed in high school with all the mega jocks. One time I tripped over a state champ quarterback's foot and did a 360 fish flop during a basketball session. Luckily survived after some bench time.

This was exactly what I needed today. As a former figure skater, this was hilarious to watch and also gave me so much anxiety 😂 A few easy tips if you ever want to try things like this again. Ash I’m looking at you on this first one as you were the biggest offender 😂 Never let your elbows go past your ears in overhead lifts! That is how horrible things happen. Also for the throw, one of the guys hands is on the waist to help throw and rotate a bit. Plus lock your wrists because the person being thrown should be holding the wrists to help push off into the air. Also, if you want more tips look up on KZbin a show called Battle of the Blades lift class. They teach hockey players how to lift figure skaters into the air.

I did figure skating for a while and those lifts etc are very hard to do stationary. You do need to add some momentum even if you are off ice but seeing your attempts where hilarious! EDIT: Its really interesting watching you guys do throw jumps and jumps because in skating you cross your legs when twisting where you'd get penalised for that in gymnastics & you can see them all not crossing over probably from practice of trying not to do that in gymnastics!

@@crystaldeath609 when doing jumps & types of spins like scratch spins etc the yes it makes a huge difference. You’re trying to pull in as tight as possible to get as much speed as you can :)

I love how much of gymnasts you guys are using a mat for throws. It just makes it harder cus then you need to jump to a higher platform and get less air time. Also the mat i soft so it is going to be harder for your balance to land on one foot

You guys need to cross your ankles when you’re trying to rotate in the air (when you were trying to do the throws). We haven’t jumped with our feet beside each other for over 50 years lol. But solid start on the lifts
