Just super! The bug bit me from the tin sheet pressed cars that I used to get gifted once every year during ‘palli perunnal & Tcr Pooram exhibition. Some 45 years ago. I used to ‘customise’ them with mom’s nail polish 😅 and get reprimanded for that. Later came KSRTC buses made of wood. These toys however would lose their wheels first. Yet, they were good until next year. 🎉

Despite my careful grooming my 8 year old son isn't a keen auto buff. But a glimmer of hope appeared recently. As a car nut I keep replacing my secondary car. Of all the interesting cars I had bought the one that he is absolutely excited about is a recently acquired first gen Scorpio. After a few picnic trips, he started to love the turbo whine and di engine clatter, his found his favourite space in the opposing third row seats. Sad that the government could pull the plugs on these behemoths very soon.
