Trailmaker multiplayer idea: evolution sail boat increased sails and complexity limit, classic evolution rule; a race where the winner vehicle is the base of the vehicle that has to be modified for the next round, 1st = 3pt, 2 = 2pt 3 = 1pt, who has the most total point win, how much round? 5 i think, just use the regular amount. Additional non-classic rule(feel free to not use this additional rule): a set amount of complexity that could be deleted from base vehicle from the winner of the previous round, the winner get more or less complexity that could be deleted from the base vehicle

The “hardest hitter challenge” put a target on a bearing with a sensor (or set of sensors) to count how many times it spins around. You could do a single shot or do it like the Smash Bros mini game with the sandbag and you get X amount of time to get it up to speed and you start counting after that!

bearing-evolution-race: Start with just 4 bearings & gain one more every round (all bearings must be used & must do something substantial e.g. wheels or steering) for anyone who wonders how with 4 bearings: threewheeler or similar. (Just try not to break your games with too many bearings)

Terra train evolution race; so basically you start out with a 2 section vehicle that can both bend up and down and left and right with 2 wheels per segment, then you can upgrade it to 4 wheels per segment, then 6 and then 8. but you have to make it large enough to accomodate the 8 wheels in the first place

Ok- here’s an idea for evolution. How high can you propel a vehicle with only land-based power? No thrusters, just wheels or explosives or whatever, but the chair must survive and no power can be added after it leaves the ground.

This gave me an idea. You guys say dog fights with planes is out of the question. Now hear me out, instead of a dog fight do a planes versus battleship. Where the battleships guns are the tape bots and explosive bots. You would set certain weak points on the ship that the planes would need to target to sink the ship. You could do a team vs team or a time attack and see who can sink it the fastest. But note that there will be enemy fire so you'll have to avoid going down in the process. This might need testing.

What if the modification was different for each position: better rank = fewer benefits. 3rd (or 4th) place evolves using more blocks / engines / etc, 2nd place uses what they had, 1st place has to devolve?

What about a competition for most difficult, passable obstacle course? Everyone builds a section of an obstacle course. Then everyone attempts to pass all the sections. The course section that has the fewest people to pass it or take the longest to pass it is the winner. If no one passes your course, including you, then you're out. (Standardize the courses by everyone using the same vehicle.)

MP Idea: Place 3 railway's next to each other in a circular fashion, one player for each lane, they all connect together at some point. The goal is to complete a lap in each lane once.

Suggestion: People in glass houses. X amount of glass blocks to build with. Build a stationary glass building. Release a wave of Tape-Bots. Defend with spud guns. Person with the most glass left on his build wins. Hmm... What if instead of evolving the vehicle to do only one thing, you evolve it to do multiple things. Example: Round 1 is just a race Round 2 is a race and a gliding distance Round 3 is race, gliding and boat Ect. (Could work well in Trailmakers too)

I had thought of something similar, but maybe limit it to two things at a time. For each round it could introduce a new thing but phase out the last one. For example, car+boat, boat+plane, plane+hovercraft, etc. Also each round is two races with no modification between them.

MM's Idea 1: Evolution race (either a course or just straight sprint) where you start with a level 1 Gas engine and every round you add another level 1 gas engine. Each base vehicle has to start with enough wheels (on bearings) to cover all rounds (if you do 5 rounds then the base vehicle needs to have 10 wheels) you may want to allow suspension glitch steering if you are going to have a lot of wheels. MM's Idea 2: Wedge powered wheel launcher - make a device to power a wheel with wedge power then launch it. winner is whoever can launch the furthest or have some for of dart board.

Explosive bot jousting evolution. Start with 1 explosive bot, the goal is to ram the bot as you drive in under fire. 0 points for not hitting, 1 point for a ram, 1 additional for flat out destroying the bot, 1 more for surviving in a vehicle that can still drive. Because each round should be quick and painless, it should work well. More bots for more fun if 1 isn't chaotic enough.

A bit different from the other ideas but try ScrapMechanic base building evolution where you each have a certain number of blocks to build a base to protect a item(say a duck or whatever) and then you spawn in bots and see who lasts the longest. Over time you may introduce a few interactive blocks such as bearings, pistons, spud guns, and even explosives which you can use for trapping or destroying the bots. (And you must use all the blocks to add an extra challenge)

Scrap Mechanic Multiplayer monday idea; You build such a strong vehicle as you can, andthen you weld a rope (can be blocks pipes whatever just so the vehicles are connecded) and you count 3 to 1 and the two vehicles drives at the same time. The person that gets over a line (thats in the middle of the... "rope") lose. So basicly tractor pulling race.

Scrap mechanic MMM idea: Teams of two will work with their partner to create an object dropping vehicle of sorts. One person from each team will then stand on a high platform and attempt to catch the object in their weld tool as the other player pilots and drops the item. There would be around 10 rounds (depending on the catch success rate) to catch as many logs as possible.

It's be cool to take a twist on this and do evolution walkers made out of either glass or cardboard and instead of tape bots, you guys have a single mounted spud gun and basically do an evolution battle royale with each other (or even a regular battle royale if it takes too long). I also feel like this can get laggy pretty quick though with all the moving parts. Nonetheless some sort of race or battle done with walkers would neat.

I'd like to see something similar but, when evolving, players have the option of adding 100 glass blocks or a smaller amount 25(?) of a stronger (but heavier) block. Players cloud use stronger blocks to armor their top, but it would make their vehicle top-heavy, is it worth it? -- Maybe require players to choose different material each round? Winner gets first choice, second place gets second choice, etc. Just to force players to get creative. -- Players can only add blocks, they cannot remove or rebuild their previously saved vehicle. The hard part would be finding a good block that is resistant to attack, but not invulnerable. Would need to run some tests to find a good block before the contest. Options Concrete Block #1 (Durability 5, Weight 7) Aluminum Block (Durability 4, Weight 6) Scrap Metal Block (Durability 3, Weight 5) Rusted Metal (Durability 2, Weight 4) Glass / Base (Durability 1, Weight 3)

The Lag Evolution challenge (Probably a really stupid idea, but also a unique one and somewhat fitting to scrap mechanic) You can use anything you want to build, but have a total limit on # of parts. Stuff like bearings and suspension count towards your total part count - everything counts. Then see who can create the most lag and lose the most frames when their creation is taken off the lift. every round you get more parts to create lag with.
