Another trick you could try to keep mosquitoes away is to put a slice of tomato on a saucer with water just covering the slice on tomato, placed next to the bed at night while you sleep, apparently the combination of the tomato and water keeps them away!

Hi guys really enjoying your videos. I just finished watching your first 2 videoss where you detail some of the changes you made to Trudy. Perhaps I missed it but did you made sure to install carbon monoxide alarms? That's very important!! Also u mentioned in this or previous video you made some pizza...do you have an oven onboard or how did you cook it? Looking forward to your video on Bruges- beautiful city! :-) (sorry 1 more question!! What size engine do you have in the Ducato do u mind me asking? 130, 150, 180 hp ...? just asking as thinking of buying one too)

Hi - Trudy is a 2.8 Diesel Fiat Ducato - she is 2004 model and purrs like a kitten LOL !! We do indeed have a Carbon monoxide alarm - in fact we will do an updated tour on Trudy soon and share our favourite items - when we did our first Trudy tour - we didn't really know what people wanted to know - but we now know that we need to share more info 😃😉😍 We actually just have a two ring burner in Trudy but have a Cadac BBQ that we can plug into an external LPG socket xx please do ask questions as it helps us know what TREAD viewers want / need to know 💜👍🌺 thank you for your interest kind regards Marianne 🚐💜

How comfortable is the actual mattress? This camper vans seem to come with custom made ones and I've always wondered how one would go about replacing a worn out one. I have a bad back and have to replace my mattress every 18 months and if someone were in the middle of touring the globe I'm just wondering how they would get a hold of a new mattress?

Hi - :) Trudy came with an existing mattress (of a certain shape) - but as my mum used to say you need comfortable shoes and a comfortable bed as - if you are not in one you are in the other LOL - so I bought a 3" memory foam topper !! and we turn it regularly as you can't turn the existing one (due to the shape) xx There are loads of mattress makers on the internet - but if you were doing a very long tour you would probably struggle getting it sent to you on the road - but if your bed is square there are loads of outlets / so maybe designing the bed to the shape that you can buy on the road ? We do different adventures - so we come back home and although we have just started planning a trip that will take us away for about 18 months that will still be within the life of a mattress 👍😀🚐💜 hope this helps kind regards Marianne xx ps if you need any advice on finding something specific - please feel free to DM or email message me if you would like and I will try and help you find / source it 😉👍
