We’ve Been Keeping A Secret…

We have been keeping a big secret from our friends and family for the past couple of months! We are excited to share the announcement of baby #2 due in May 2023!

Congratulations!! I announced my 1st pregnancy to my family 38 yrs ago on Christmas! I was so scared when I saw Truett in his crib. I am surprised you do not follow safe sleep guidelines…..no pillows, bumpers, stuffed animals, or blankets in the crib, and baby on his back….all until age 1.

Agreed! Hopefully they see this and can reconsider his sleep setup - just to keep him and future baby safe!

Thanks for your concern. He was just getting over the flu the week before and we were advised to elevate his head. Mainly during naps. Also he’s a very proficient roller and prefers laying on his side to sleep. 😊

@@jillyann4 I am a mandated reporter and once when I was visiting the home of one of my students, I noticed a 5 month old sleeping in a crib on her tummy with a heavy blanket. I mentioned that baby should be on her back without a blanket or pillow. Mom protested that the baby had a bad cold, and was having trouble sleeping, so she wanted the blanket on. She also told me she had dipped the pacifier in rum to put the baby to sleep faster. Great. No only on her tummy, but with a pillow and blanket, and her senses dulled by alcohol on the paci. I told her the abc’s of safe sleeping again. She ignored me again. And I walked out of her house and called ODJFS. They followed up with me and let me know that the appropriate action had been taken. Also told me that the baby had not been back to the pediatrician since the 2 week visit.

Congratulations! So happy for you! When you got your cute older baby up for a nap, I noticed he had things in the crib with him. Our doctors in PA recommend babies sleep in crib with no blankets or pillows for safety. Are recommendations different where you live?

it's always difficult to let go of someone you love, i was in a similar situation my wife for 12 years left me, i couldn't just let her go i did all i could to get her back, i had to seek the help of a spiritual adviser who helped me bring her back.

I understand how you feel. My husband left me 5 and one half years ago. I think about him almost all the time. I love watching Sugar videos because they are such a close family. They have dealt with a lot of heartache in the family, but they cling to each other for strength. It is very inspirational for me. I think you brought your marriage situation up because this time of year is about Jesus first, but families get together, and it's hard for us that have lost our spouses to deal with seeing families together when ours families are broken.

Sending congratulations on your second pregnancy! Will be so much sun to have two children to live and for them to love each other! One note of concern: I’m a grandma so may not be up on what babies are sleeping in now but I have always heard to use the mattress that is approved for the crib as there may be gaps that could pose a hazard to baby as well as pillows posing a risk. I’m sure you are wonderful parents so hesitated to even mention this, but want all the best for you.

I love that you and a few of your siblings have KZbin channels and that you can control the content you make and share. It's such a joy to see some of your family that I loved seeing in the shows. I used to love watching 19 kids and counting bc it always intrigued me how a family that large functions, is it any different than my smaller family of 6, is what I would wonder. Turns out not much different than my own 🙂 I love that you guys have decided to still make parts of your life public for fans such as myself and I hope you'll create more content in the future!
