@@SS-tr1th It's called freedom. can do a lot of things without needing permission from anyone. For ex, to build a home, don't need to get any permissions. There is good weather and beaches around the country. Sri Lanka is a lively country, not boring. With a UK passport, it's heaven.

@@ayesh__ actually SL is a bureaucratic nightmare with a lot of red tape and slow officials. Hard to start and do business there. Taxes and utilities too high and services unreliable. Infrastructure poor. Nobody follows road rules, making it hell to navigate the daily chaos. So let’s not make it sound too romantic. Reality is different but it’s picturesque. But so in the green and pleasant island in the north where you live.

I love them both. especially lahiru for his innocent smile, hard work, and positive vibes towards the really hard work.he is an all-rounder and really an asset to the wife. What a duo ! Lucie u r so gifted, innovative, artistic, enterprising n hard working. U r blessed with a husband in Ru, who really loves u n r able to do so many things. Both of u complement each other. It's so enjoyable watching yr videos, which r done very well to a high std. SL is fortunate to have you'll doing things from scratch n showing to ppl, as some our folk r quite lazy, from what I have known after been n living there for over 50 yrs. Evenings of orange sunsets, blue mornings and the vistas of the lake beyond, what is not there to not love in that environment where the tiny home stands! You are right, though the colour contrast is not very clear to the camera, cream does go well with nature, than stark white. In the night, when the lights twinkle and the dark shadows dance, the ambiance will be romantic. Lots of hard work has gone into this project Lucie, and the outcome is definitely priceless! Congratulations! Can't wait to see the interior deco and the rest of the accompaniments you have planned for this house.

Love the can do attitude you both have. The creamy will have a more mellow effect than white. The views are absolutely stunning, I can see exactly why you wanted to build there. Looking forward to seeing it completed, it is amazing how fast it has happened. Things take a long time here in the U.K. these days, and we do not have the capable enthusiastic people you have in SL and certainly people like Ru are really rare. Stay happy and chill.

Wow, Lucie and Lahiru, you two are incredible! I hope you take a moment from time to time to remember just how far you've come. From that first time stepping on the land to where you are now. You both have come so far and learned so much along the way. Lahiru is becoming quite a skilled tradesman. Of course, we can't forget your tradesmen who are so committed to helping you see your dreams come to life, they're amazing! Your tiny home will be a treasure for guests to come stay. I imagine that you'll easily be booked for weeks and months at a time. I admit, I loved the white walls, but I really do see your vision. The soft, creamy color draws the eye to the magnificent views. I'm so happy for you both.

Hi L&L filling ground soil inside house might make termide problem comes in future, remember not to contact door frames and window frames with that filled soil. Use advise from expert. enjoyed watching your videos, Stay safe.

You could have used eco bricks to build the walls. So the inside can be cool, also no need to plaster or paint. Purely earthy colour and natural

our favourite colours are gentle yellow like primrose and cream . white and cream make a place look bigger but white is too strong and clinical even with nice pictures . and cream and yellow feels its instant warmth . when ever you all carry rocks and dig i have to look away because of no safety steel cap foot wear . it maybe too hot to wear but rather that then injury and also hats in that heat just resting let alone work . uk health & safety would have a field day although they can also go ott where it is unnecessary .
