An anti-low traffic neighbourhood (LTN) party, back by actress Florence Pugh’s father, has won Oxford City Council seats in the local elections.
The Independent Oxford Alliance gained four seats on Friday, taking three from Labour.
The party has campaigned on backlash from LTNs since its launch in November, but said it is not explicitly “anti LTN”, but a “pro-democracy party”.
The grassroots party has been backed by Clinton Pugh, who says his restaurants in the area have been affected by the traffic managing schemes.
He joins Talk’s Mike Graham on Morning Glory.
