R1ps my cousin passed away today and one of the few things that could take away my mind for a little was this amazing tournament so todays long analysis comes with a great thanks and an extra sprinkle of love. On to the analysis then. Fabbz on the mic you know jinxes are about to happen. Match1: DJ the man that never drops. I wish i could see more of his Li Mei but he doesnt seem to have perfected her yet. That 500+ dmg combo though was a work of art. Slauw is another one of R1ps monster newcomers i was very impressed. Lots of people playing smoke and reptile lately i like it. Match2: R1ps acting like he is not sure that Kani and Faysal are the strongest in the arena like making them secret bosses was accidental :p. Faysal is beasting through this. I think he would have won with Shao too but chose a safer route and thats respectable. Match3: Only in here we could get a matchup like this. Tornado with his unique Cyrax style and Starkzz our best Li Mei. R1ps is right that season 5 looks like a different game, no more slow and boring stuff only high octane action. Starkzz fires those burger king combos one after another and Tornado answers back with his own unique way. Excellent match as well. Match4: One of the sweatiest Smokes vs one of the Sweatiest sub zeros. This was a match that was cinematic, like actually watching two ninjas fight, whoever takes this doesnt matter they both won our hearts. Congrats guys. Match5: Damn its not even like Chrono is a player with weak reactions he has proven that but wth did that Smoke take before the match? He came with a mission i have never seen such Smoke gaming so far not even by Nasty....R1ps barely hanging out not to demonetize his video was icing on top...i am astonished. Great great stuff people.

You only have to hold it when sektor has a rocket out but all those cancels he did I'm sorry .... its a sound cue and if you listen you can just take your turn and he eats a combo for it if done on block. People are going nuts but its a gimmick. JustNasty don't do that because its not real. Oh.. and for any childish person who wants to call me a hater .... just go lab it yourself and you'll see that its a gimmick . You can do it once with a rocket then again with one more rocket but just canceling over and over and over and over ... that's not real and you'll get punished for it.

Probably. I encounter stuff like this in KL ever so often. There is a lot of cheating going on in this game imo. Also, there is a shit ton of “punish avoidable-split second auto blocking” only the a.I. should be capable of in practice mode. Just plain sad!

There’s plenty of people out there that can do this myself included but usually our opponents mash down 1 and break the cancel so it’s not normally viable it demands a ton of respect which if you don’t know how to deal with you constantly give out. Instead of calling others cheaters try just getting good at the game? Then maybe you can definitely say if he’s hacking or not or maybe you can go up against me an Xbox player and if you really think there are hackers all over Xbox you need to re evaluate

@@Blackpillscapengl i got the game a month or so ago and i can chain Smokes cancels pretty consistently (90% success rate probably) you are prolly just bad at the game or mess up easily doing the same input over and over again. The input isn't that hard, literally just press left right 3 and then cancel with left R2. The only real challenge is timing it, cause if you do it too early it wont cancel. It's basically the same thing as backdashing using Ermacs cancel to gain meter (which is harder for me personally)

Just discovered that enhanced smoke port cancle cast you *one bar* and does nothing (frames go from 37 to 24) so it dosent give you better frames, better positioning, any mix-up opinions, nothing! it literally just takes a bar away from you, and if you do face walk into enhanced smoke cancel (frames go from 49! to 36...)

I'd even argue it's easier to take your turn than some other characters, Johnny come to mind, because as soon as you see the smoke port you can throw out a d1 or armor. Sure, there are ways to stop mashing, and it's a mind game, but it's a mind game like anything else, like tacking on a special after a string if you want them to respect it and hope they are conditioned early as opposed to blocking and punishing you.
