I’m living in Nanterre, a city close to Paris, where he played since his childhood and until 2021. The "Nanterre 92" is a very family club, but with very good results compared to the budget. Victor Wembanyama has a very good modern player mentality, in my opinion. He is is hardworking, modest, ambitious, lucid, intelligent, living basket-ball as a way of life. The only issue could be his lightness and physical problems. He must gain at least 10 kilos, before joining the NBA. But, he is only 18, soon 19, don’t forget! @obama_yo_mama46532 жыл бұрын
The main reason why I think EU basketball players will start to take over is (among many other things), their physical ability doesn't just end with their height. They are also very quick and strong for their builds, I noticed this. The work ethic is different aswell, european athletes know what it takes to be the best in their sport and they're willing to do whatever it takes. I really feel like americans don't care about that so much anymore, some of them even have a "I'll just get drafted by nba" attitude. (I mean, they think they can just go to college and then make money in the NBA if they are good) EU kids don't have the same direct path, so I think they work harder on their own because they want to prove themselves. Also, I believe the top american prospects don't always have what it takes to play at that level yet. They might look very promising at one time but they lack the workrate needed. It's not all about how tall you are or your athletic skills either, the mental aspect has a big impact on which guys actually become successful NBA players. What I'm trying to say is the US may still dominate the NBA for years to come but in my opinion they won't stay as dominant as they used to be. Just look at all the global players who have become superstars and only started playing basketball in highschool ages, they did it because it was fun and they didn't have a specific goal in mind due to the lack of direction they were given.
