He’s 7’4 with ball skills, excellent rim protection instincts /movement defensively, great production relative to his age (FIBA especially), and a smooth shooting stroke. He has alot of potential to be special. Spurs/Jazz, Rockets/OKC, Pistons/Pacers - these are going to be the highest stakes and least watchable games of the regular season

I’m living in Nanterre, a city close to Paris, where he played since his childhood and until 2021. The "Nanterre 92" is a very family club, but with very good results compared to the budget. Victor Wembanyama has a very good modern player mentality, in my opinion. He is is hardworking, modest, ambitious, lucid, intelligent, living basket-ball as a way of life. The only issue could be his lightness and physical problems. He must gain at least 10 kilos, before joining the NBA. But, he is only 18, soon 19, don’t forget! He should improve himself in all aspects.

No human being that tall has ever moved so fluently. I really, really hope that point 2. prevails and he has the career we all want to see. It would be awesome. Something we could barely imagine. That we have KD being able to shoot and handle the way he does is freakish in itself. length, not size, this young man is not ready, these highlights are not against NBA level players. potential is obvious, but it's still just that...potential.

Once he adds some weight, he's gonna be even more lethal. Just like how Giannis became even better after putting on mass, except Wem already can shoot, whereas Giannis had to develop his shooting.

What an incredible player NBA will turn him into a concrete post though, Euro league makes all rounders, and he’s amazing! Like Tony Kukoć, only taller

he has a clean block, a nice turnaround jumpshot like olajuwon, good handles et al. but does his knees and ankles will hold in a multiyear 80 game nba grind and will nba refs also think his blocks are clean?

He'll be a hybrid between KD and Giannis. Multiple awards are gonna be in his name with a couple of rings + finals MVPs. Calling it now.

I look forward to seeing him match up against Giannis. What a thing to consider! This kid is like a mix of Giannis and Durant.

NBA is a whole different level. Michael Olowokandi, Anthony Bennett, Kwame Brown. They said the same crud about them when they were drafted #1. You get the idea.

The main reason why I think EU basketball players will start to take over is (among many other things), their physical ability doesn't just end with their height. They are also very quick and strong for their builds, I noticed this. The work ethic is different aswell, european athletes know what it takes to be the best in their sport and they're willing to do whatever it takes. I really feel like americans don't care about that so much anymore, some of them even have a "I'll just get drafted by nba" attitude. (I mean, they think they can just go to college and then make money in the NBA if they are good) EU kids don't have the same direct path, so I think they work harder on their own because they want to prove themselves. Also, I believe the top american prospects don't always have what it takes to play at that level yet. They might look very promising at one time but they lack the workrate needed. It's not all about how tall you are or your athletic skills either, the mental aspect has a big impact on which guys actually become successful NBA players. What I'm trying to say is the US may still dominate the NBA for years to come but in my opinion they won't stay as dominant as they used to be. Just look at all the global players who have become superstars and only started playing basketball in highschool ages, they did it because it was fun and they didn't have a specific goal in mind due to the lack of direction they were given.

Teams & media still haven't learned w/ these expectations of extremely tall players. Portzingis was the unicorn then Chet now Viktor. Same body type but yet the results are gonna be different? This isn't even including Yao, Samson etc. Just can't fall for it. Even tho Yao was a beast before the injuries
