I didn’t get into the series until 2 and I loved it. For whatever reason XCDE didn’t grab me but I admit I only gave it a few hours before moving on. I’m super excited for 3 but I don’t think I’ll ever be as hyped as I was for the switch and BotW. I’m stoked about BotW 2 but waiting for the new console and Zelda same day, I don’t think that’ll ever be topped for me personally.

I’m so glad that I discovered the series with the Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive edition, which I did not had the time for when it released but I am about only 10 hours in so far and really enjoying it. The fact that I still have a sequel left after this one and the third game as well really makes me happy. Playing through an awesome franchise without having to wait for new releases is quite amazing

This is shaping up to be absolutely incredible. It seems like the best parts of 1, 2, and even X with some awesome new ideas mixed in. I love this more unapologetically dark tone, and after seeing this gameplay I’m now finally recognizing how much *style* it’s just absolutely dripping with. I seriously can’t wait. Well, I guess I can, since I bought that special edition knowing full well Nintendo ain’t shipping it to me for at least a week post-launch, but still!

You can even see a few different vehicles throughout the trailers, although it’s unclear if any will be quite as awesome as the Skells yet.

I've been a huge Takahashi fan since the beginning. I honestly can't wait for this game, I binged XBC1:DE and XBC2 just recently and I can say my body is ready lol. I can't wait to see the world and dabble with the new mechanics in the game. I'm also excited for the hero system. I just hope they made the map less confusing and more clear to read it. I hated not knowing what layer of the map a quest was on because of the map lol

Xenoblade Chronicles II was my first try at a Xenoblade game and I absolutely loved it. One of my biggest gripes of II however was that you didn't have as much control over your other party members and had no control if you wanted to pursue a particular blade combo. Knowing that we can swap members out at will or take control of any of the on screen heroes makes me so very very happy and I can't wait for its release.

Not to mention the ability to cancel auto-attacks into arts, then cancel arts into other arts. It's so addicting haha. I'm very much looking forward to being able to swap between different characters during battle in 3.

@@kristoffernichols268 something that I only realised this year as I was playing through all of the souls games fully for the first time was the amount of overlap that it shares with some xenoblade actors, Alvis voices someone in each game from ds1-3, fiora voices at least 2 people in ds2, and xord’s va is maliketh er. You can see a similar overlap in a lot of the actors featuring in ff14 too

I've played every entry in the Xenoblade series. I love all of them, but Xenpblade 2 has always been the clear winner for me. It's my number 1 favourite game of all time. XC3's going to have a lot to live up to, but I'm confident Monolith and Takahashi can pull it off.

It was a great game with the superior gameplay although it may have bad tutorials and story may not be quite as good compared to xc1 but it's character development was very good and the characters had more purpose to the story which helped draw me into the world. Torna is what really sold xc2 as being my favorite as that massively added to the experience and I don't think any previous xeno game can top Torna for lots of people.

I also need to get around to playing Torna, luckily it's not as long as a normal XBC game, around 35 hours total (still fairly meaty, but not Xenoblade-meaty), so you could definitely start playing now and finish it well before XBC3 drops. Every other Xenoblade game on the other hand usually takes around a whole month to finish if you're not rushing the story and do most of the side-quests.

Agnian classes' arts reset on a timer instead of hits, and it looks to me like stutter stepping isn't a thing anymore, but you were a coward if you used it in the first place anyway

I am REALLY glad to hear that it's good with no reservations. I loved the first game, but was put off by 2's battle system self-sabotaging in key ways (Gacha-style progression without being able to switch Blades around, Tora's gimmicks gumming up the works for half the game, etc)... So to hear that they've made something that plays well even from the start makes me really happy.

The story reminds me a bit of Tales of Arise. Farming the energy from human beings for mashines fighting a greater battle. Also the two races is another parallel from ToA. I loved Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and finished it 3 times. I enjoyed every second of the game and the story was just amazing. The scenery is just great and it looks like Xenoblade 3 will also be a great game to play

What part did you get to in XCDE? I recommend you finish it before XC3 just because there may be some interesting things that you wouldn't catch in XC3 without having finished it, and the end of XC2 would make a lot more sense.

So excited for this game! I have finished XC2, XC2:Torna and just tonight I've finished XC:DE. Hopefully I've got enough time between now and 29 July to finish Future Connected as well. The new game looks so polished I can't wait to get into it. Here's hoping we get a port of XCX on the Switch at some point in the future too!

This is a really good sequel. This took the Ground work found in Torna Golden Country and perfected it. It's a great improvement on Xenoblade Chronicles 2 gameplay.

I absolutely cannot WAIT to play this game, and to hear its living up to your expectation makes me all the more excited. But on another note, I can’t wait for the day I open KZbin and the first video I see is “We’ve Played Metroid Prime 4 on Nintendo Switch - Is It Any Good?” Someday…. Someday. But yeah, Xenoblade 3 looks absolutely amazing. I can’t wait to wish the outdoors goodbye when it releases.

I’m not a die hard fan of the series, never finished 1 or 2 but I’m really excited for this one! Gameplay looks so smooth and awesome while the game looks sooo beautiful! I just hope they bring back the customization of Xenoblade 1 … really liked the “transmog” system as it is really rare to have gear and loot that changes the looks for your characters in JRPGs really enjoyed making my party look distinguished. Hope they added that to the game, but even then a must buy for me!

Looking forward to this though never really been a fan of combat transformations. I hope they come up with a new gimmick for the next Xenoblade. Based on previous entrees though they seem to like experimenting with certain features so there’s a good chance.

Did you actually see any large cities or colonies like from previous games or just those small base camps? What about vehicles besides the boat?

@@omensoffate having multiple colonies/settlements is kind of a staple as there were 2 in the first game and like half a dozen in the 2nd game. Would be weird to only have little base camps

@@Jenema2 yep with two rather large colonies (also a Wii game with limited capabilities), then X had a huge home base city and 2 stepped it up and added quite a bit of larger settlements. Hope 3 improves upon this or is at least similar

The game runs well Also the queen of agnus is a main character of xenoblade 2 so yes it is better to play it before

I be only played the first one on the Wii and I finally have a switch now, so this along with Splatoon 3 will be my first experience buying a game as soon as it comes out. Yay
