In today's video we visit this once beautiful cottage in Wales. Inside we find that all of the last occupants belongings were boxed up and left for many years gathering dust and cobwebs. What happened here? We will probably never know but this once busy family home now lies silent and cold. Join us as we take a look around this intriguing little cottage.

That keypad on the stairs that you asked about is a telex machine. It is similar to messaging but instead of the internet it used the telephone system. You typed your message and sent it via the telephone system and it printed out on the teleprinter at the receiving end. Radiotelex, which uses HF radio signal is still used on ships today. The telephone system ones were in use in offices as far back as 1930’s to the 1990’s. That BT Leopard is from around 1980.

Great find both the bed frame must be nearly 100 years old carry the king George title i notice a lampshade in the bedroom was made by sandersan fabric which is about 30 years old i remember that design autumn colours with leaves and flowers. And i couldn't believe there's a prepayments coin meter there for the electricity so much stuff in there doesn't look like anyone else has done this one before i think you may be the first i can't believe anyone was still living in that in 2018 on that tin where were they sitting and sleeping but people do live like this as sad as it is.

I was thinking that someone had packed up all the belongings in this house but that's about as far as they got. All the kitchen ware was packed away along with photographs and clothes etc. For some reason, whoever it was that packed it all up just never came back!

The painted jug, I think its called barge painting, I've seen it done on the barges on the canals, it's very bright and colourful. It makes you wonder, why someone would take the time to pack up all the things in boxes and then leave them. Such a shame. Another interesting video. 😊

Another great video. At 4:32 those bottles contain brandy with cherries added. Whoever lived there was making their own cherry brandy. You prick the cherries all over with a needle, then 3/4 fill a brandy bottle with them, add a small amount of sugar, top it up with brandy and cork it and leave it to infuse for about 9 months. I can’t believe at 7:57 to the right of the ornament she puts down, is a universal spring winder (the thing with the alloy handle). You make your own coil springs with it. You use it in conjunction with a metal turning lathe. I’ve no doubt there are still a few about but I’ve only ever seen another one and I own it. The bloke who lived there was maybe an engineer.

I see lots and lots of stuff here that could go to charity. And some items could go to the historical society such as those old photos. It's a shame to leave it all behind for the vandals and the elements.

Not sure at all but someone had gone to the trouble of boxing things up but the sheer amount of cobwebs in there told us that no-one had been back there for many years!

I haven’t seen so much rubbish in one house before. It is as though the neighbourhood threw all their old and outdated equipment in there. My mum was a hoarder and her house was not as bad as this by a long shot. Quit looking in the fridges.🤢
