Amazing you went to see a Harry Potter filming site & my daughter Kylie just visited the studios this week, the pics she got were fantastic, every time she stood somewhere she knew what scene had been shot there, lol, the snow sounded & looked so beautiful, a tad dangerous, but beautiful nonetheless, love ya’s ❤❤

Used to love trips to Malham as a child in the 60s (my family, on my mother's side, originate from Wensleydale, in particular, Hawes and the surrounding area). Great video guys - your footage was stunning, Leigh.

great vlog, admire your bravery of driving down those roads in the weather conditions. i usually have the unenviable task of taking a 53 seater coach there in June for the field trip for a local school, and as previously mentioned, can also recommend a visit to Goathland station as it was used as Hogsmeade station in Harry Potter and the philosopher's stone film.

Absolutely stunning location! Especially in the snow. Off to Harry Potter studios tour next week ( been before bit a long time ago) so now really looking forward to it. Goathland Station was in the first Harry Potter movie ( I believe) visited there and also Alnwick Castle, where we went last year 😊. Makes a ace much more appealing knowing TV shows and movies filmed there. Thanks for sharing...now on my bucket list xx

I Scotland we visited the cafe in Edinburgh where the author of Harry Potter sat and wrote the book and there is also a train that takes you round all the different filming locations they used in Harry Potter it’s amazing. There is also the story of grey fires Bobby in Edinburgh and u can go into the pub that was actually his local and you can even visit where he’s buried lot of history in Scotland and a lot of beautiful places to so see an take in the history in the highlands of Scotland they have a place called Chanery point it’s like a rock beach with a windmill and certain times of the day when the tide changes you can spot the bottle nosed dolphins an the even some times come very close to Shore. They also have in a woodland a tree called the clootie tree there is water that runs from it an it’s said to be healing water and if you take an old rag soak it in the water and tie it to a place on the tree an mark it it bring luck. Also up in the black isles isle of sky there is beautiful place to hike and takes you down to a place called the fairy pools very magical and beautiful. My mum was from Scotland so I spent my child good growing up visiting all these places an I have continued it on with my children. We love exploring couple years back we actually visited the Peak District and did a lot of exploring we like to visit old stores and museums as well. There’s a lot of history in Norfolk where we live as well such a beautiful place to visit I always think how lucky we are to live around such beautiful places. We love Disney obsessed but we do love our ok holidays and exploring as well. Our dream is to one day own a lodge or a cabin somewhere would love to have a van too an just jump in with the kids and go explore ❤

After dealing with a good bit of snow and ice a couple of weeks ago, it’s nice to be able to watch the two of you out in the snow and ice while sitting in my 70°F living room. I’m not sure I would have attempted that climb because I would have too great of fear of slipping on the ice and falling. So I’m glad you took care of that for me. 😉

Filming was in a small town called west bay. A really beautiful part of Dorset... You may not be fans , I wonder if where Emmerdale is filmed .... is that somewhere you would visit. It does look lovely there. Also was your sausage curry hot , Because it did look delicious Thanks again guys Keep vlogging Take care Theree xx

I have a picture of the limestone pavement taken on a school residential way back in 1979 It was a warm May not the middle of winter. I know that one of the many adaptations of Jane Eyre was filmed at Hadden Hall and especially for Nick, Downton Abbey is in real life Highclere Castle in Berkshire.

Such a beautiful area! The Holiday was filmed at Shere in Surrey, believe it or not it was June! I worked on the set making adjustments to the village like roof tiles , telephone wires etc. fake snow was pumped over the whole area it was an amazing sight in Summer. the actual cottage was built just for the film at Newlands corner and was just a facade . Lovely place to visit when your next down sarf! 😂

Puzzle Wood in the Forest of Dean is where a scene in Star Wars: Force Awakens was filmed. It’s like dense woodland where the trees grow around rocks and hilly areas and it’s all covered in moss. It’s not in the Yorkshire area but if you happen to be near it when travelling around the country in your van the it’s definitely worth a visit. Great video!
