We Visited the NEW LARGEST MALL in the PHILIPPINES | It is MORE than Expected

SM North EDSA was the first SM Mall in the Philippines and one of the largest SM malls, the mall where SM evolves from a Department store into a Mall/Retail chain and predates SM City, SM Center, SM Premier (now defunct, dropped & renamed) malls in the Philippines.

As you can see Jackie and Tayo, malls in Metro Manila are numerous, diverse and beautiful. It's why 2 of my favorite things to do in my ancestral county the enchanting Philippines is.......MALL HOPPING AND ISLAND HOPPING! ❤🇵🇭💥😁👍🏼

SM North is the oldest SM Supermall yet the biggest. MOA seems big but in terms of leased or leasable space, SM North EDSA is the biggest

Hi Jackie, SM North EDSA has 4 areas, 1. the block('90s) 2. the west wing (2016s) 3. the main building (the old one since the 80s) 4. Annex Building (2010s).aka the other premium area. It seems you haven't visited the annex building part?

MOA retained its spot as the largest mall in the Philippines in 2021 following the opening of the world's biggest IKEA store in MOA Square which is an expansion to MOA.

MOA is just big because they include the MOA Arena and SMX Convention Center in counting in square feet measurements, but when it comes to store quantity SM North EDSA is still the biggest. MOA has 663 stores while SM North EDSA has 968 stores as of the latest.

I'm not sure if you guys are aware of this but there is yet another mall nearby behind the outdoor parking of Trinoma named Vertis North. There is walking access to pass thru perimeter of Trinoma to get to Vertis. If your into Vikings buffet, you should try NU also by the same group. That is a different ambiance! It's at the Podium behind Megamall Bldg. B. Their food court is also decent looking but since SM the Block just constructed that food court last year it looks fresher and newer in concept. There are other malls in nearby QC like Robinsons Magnolia, they recently had their new food court at the new wing constructed and another mall U. P. Town Center not to be confused with Uptown Mall at BGC. This mall is nesr the University belt.

FYI Ayala Malls and SM Malls are the 2 biggest Malls competing with each other when the one ooens a new one the other buids a new one too but the first Mall having a greenery part are Ayala Malls. And others follows. For me Ayala Malls are nicer its simpler not so fancy unlike the others but is more vibrant, more of natute vibe as well and more luxurious. Anyways nice exploration of different malls here in the Philippines and by the way there are lots here. Not only in the metro but also in city within the provinces here. Next time try to explore it as well. God bless.

There are 3 huge malls around that area: SM North Edsa, Trinoma, and Ayala Malls Hope you explore them all. Next time, you may also want to try the Bowling Alley at SM North at the ground floor. You'll like it!

Quezon city is the biggest and richest city in the Phils. Majority of middle class lives in Quezon city. Hence SM city north edsa quezon city has higher foot traffic than SM mall of asia in Pasay.
