I don't understand how everyone keeps saying these games are boring, just because it's a Korea vs Korea final. Yea the end is the same as last year, but the style, the meta, and the way the teams got to this point is all COMPLETELY different. It's like saying you hate action movies because you know the ending is going to be happy with the guy finishing his mission and getting the girl. You watch it at least in part for the twists and turns in the journey, no?

I’m sick of people saying “Oh, Worlds is sooo predictable and boring, Koreans again in finals. It feels like I don’t even have to watch Worlds to know the results. SKT will win again!” This year is the closest Worlds so far, many upsets and almost upsets happened. If you say such things above, you probably just watched the highlights and replays after waking up. Also, I don’t get why people getting tired of watching SKT (they had to comeback in almost every single game this year, it’s sooo tensed all the time). Korean teams are winning because they are still the bests. Only loser hates watching winners win.

Samsung played so well starting the quarterfinals but I think in the end SKT will be the victors. During LCK, even though SKT was shaky, they beat SSG 3-0. I think Faker aura is too great for Samsung!

Balance is a very challenging thing. However, this patch is a very diverse one. If you include the play in stage over 80 unique champions have been played with Samsung bringing out 4 new champs in their quarterfinals matches last week

@Samuel Kim You're right - I only watch the worlds, so I didn't know that. Sorry if I sounded racist - I didn't mean to. It's similar to me as nobody can touch NBA pro's - when the rest of the world play against them, it's kinda boring to watch, because you know they're gonna stomp everyone. They're just on another level of play - just like Korea in esports, with China being the next "league" and then everyone else. Well I was going for Papa Smithy's logic about how certain teams are able to counter the SKT powerhouse because of the unique style they play as in the case of LZ. But I guess you have a point, teams in the worlds tournament are not the same as in the LCS, so SSG is the best contender vs SKT. Though I have no faith in SSG winning the final.

The best are the best for a reason. Would it be any less boring if 2 NA or 2 EU teams were in the finals? Remove the names and you'll see all same 10-15 champions played anyway, regardless of who plays. Sadly worlds get boring after group stages because the teams are way more serious then and, like I said, only play same champions on and on and on. But you have to apprectiate skill matchups and that's what makes it fun. The progression and team evolution through game 1 to potential game 5 is what makes these koreans as good as they are. How else do you think SSG and SKT are able to win even if they are down 10-20k gold?

SK is a huge south korean conglomerates. SKT is a telecom company owned by that group. Interesting thing is that SK in SKT does not stand for South Korea but Sun Kyoung which used to be the groups name before they changed it into English initials.
