Tanner if you want to make the show at the nationals you either need to get way more aggressive or run the weekly show there for a month or two before

More decisive maybe. I don't think he lacks the proper level of aggression, but he gets caught out sometimes by not making the right decision or not reacting fast enough.

@@hotdoglover1573 if you mean do I drive for a career and get paid for it? No, but that doesn't mean I don't have years of experience racing on the same tracks and in some of the same cars against many "pro" drivers and many more amateurs that are just as good and even better. You'd be surprised how much local and regional racing goes on amongst great drivers you've never heard of in this country and in North and South America

I admire your passion for winning! As many know, the Knoxville Nationals is one of, if not the toughest race of the year! Look @ Donny Schatz, it took many nationals, several 2nd place finishes, before getting his first Knoxville Nationals win! Do I think you've got the talent & team behind you to win the Knoxville Nationals? ABSOLUTELY! Laps, laps & more laps @ Knoxville Raceway is the key for success here. I've been following you since the cage carts. Your growth behind the wheel, has been great to see. In time, Knoxville will become easier & you'll be faster also. Question for your sister..... Are we going to see possibly your Crew Chief, also be crowned the Knoxville Nationals Queen ever? I think it'd be a first, if it happens!

I don't know if it's lack of experience at that track or just an area where you have room for growth, but id say after watching you for ammst a year now (including in person once) and all month prepping for this race and if i had to pick one thing that seemed to hamper your progress the most in how races played out, i would say you could be more decisive and need to react to things that happen in front of you a bit quicker. Like you had a very good run on 2 cars down the backstretch at one point and a 3rd car got crossed up in the high line where you were and it seemed you had time and space to shoot a gap to move up to like 5th or 6th place from 8th and got bottled up and wound up 13th and battled back to 10th. I've seen things like that happening for you especially here at Knoxville. I've never raced a winged sprint or anything at a paid pro level, but I've raced everything from shifter karts, dirt late models, trans am and imsa gt and lmp3 cars at small regional events and track days. So I may not have any idea what I'm talking about, but my best racing is always when I'm just flowing perfectly and not even thinking about the moves in making and they just seem to fall in sync and the rhythm of the race just seems to fall into my lap. When I'm thinking to much, I'm always behind the race going on around me. Never had the luck or the funding to live the dream you are on. Keep at it and keep improving every time you hold that wheel.

Tanner, I'm a fan.. but a common theme of these comments seems to be your lack of aggresiveness. I have to agree. On the last restart you got up to 7th, but on the next lap you were 12th. You need to race, not just find a safe spot and ride arouund in 12th! You've got the right attitude, keep working at your craft and start racing! The next thing you know you'll be in the big show.

It's BS to qualify well and run away with the heat to be pushed back to start 9th on a track you can't pass on.
