8:47, I agree with Peyton on this one!! Cancel & Rescheduling are completely different. Let’s say Peyton has a doctors appointment on Wednesday, but something comes up & he can’t make it, he will then RESCHEDULE his appointment till the following week on Tuesday. He didn’t cancel his appointment, he rescheduled to a different week, they took the OG appointment & moved it to a later week. Now let’s say the same situation happened, and he canceled it, that means he canceled it completely and he’s not showing up. That’s the difference, Rescheduling is moving it to a later time/day/week. Canceling is canceling that appointment and not showing up.

Nope he’s wrong. Canceling and rescheduling are different, yes. But He’s arguing that cancellation is an end all be all which is NOT AT ALL. You can CANCEL your McDonald’s order or your Flight ride, and reschedule/make a new one right afterwards. Y’all can literally look this up on Google. It’s free. Once again. YOU CAN CANCEL something like a doctors appointment and then reschedule it for another time which is what Liv did. People cancel and reschedule stuff ALL OF THE TIME in society. It’s a regular normal inconvenience for people.

I agree with this debate too, Peyton is right in this particular debate. But in Melbourne, Australia, the hospital clinic appointments say “you have to cancel your appointment before you reschedule” they say “cancel your appointment, and we will get back to you about a new appointment in a few weeks” and then you get a saying “we have confirmed that you have canceled your appointment” then a letter in the mail saying “we have a new appointment available, please call to book”

Coming from a medical student, Peyton isn’t actually completely wrong 😅. Women get Pap smears (usually every 1-3 years) by their OBGYN (obstetrics & gynecology) to essentially check for abnormal cells that could indicate risk for cervical cancer! They also can do an STD check as well. We use a tool (speculum) to allow access to the cervix and then essentially just a sterile swab to essentially scrape cervical tissue for lab testing! Good job Peyton :)

I work at an obgyn and there is a difference between canceling and rescheduling. A cancellation then requires to schedule a brand new appointment as for rescheduling, it just moves the original appointment that was already scheduled:)

Cam. You're wrong. If you cancel the appointment there is no appointment anymore, you have no further intentions of going to an appointment. But whenever you reschedule an appointment it doesn't cancel, it simply takes that appointment from one day to the next, yet you still have an appointment because it wasn't cancelled
