Neevu heliddu correct. This was my exact reaction after first day first show. I wasn't satisfied. I hit the theatres again for the 2nd time and my views changed by 60%. Try to watch again. First watch we go with lot of expectations. 2nd watch we go to analyze.

ಸಿನೆಮಾ ಕೊನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು dialogue ಇದೆ, ಸಿನೆಮಾ ಶೂಟ್ ಮಾಡಿಲ್ಲ ಬದಲಿಗೆ realityಯನ್ನೇ ತೋರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು, ಅದರ ಅರ್ಥ, UI ನ dull n boring, stage-drama like screenplay, ಸತ್ತ ಮೆದುಳಿನ ನಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರ ಬದುಕಿಗೆ ( ಸಮಾಜಕ್ಕೆ) ಕನ್ನಡಿ ಹಿಡಿದಂತಿದೆ...., ನಮ್ಮ ಬದುಕೂ ಅಷ್ಟೇ boring, repetitive, dull ಆಗಿದೆ ಅಲ್ವೇ?! Let's not underestimate uppi's screenplay, deliberately he has made so. If one understand the Intention of the movie one can understand why it's made so...., unfortunately hardly ppl can understand, decode the movie, movie's Intention. Anyways, I appreciate ur concern my friend 🙂

Very true.. upendra movie isbest work till date because he had hunger like that. He had team to explode his ideas like that. Now all normal conventional associate directors he has .. he is not able to make it now thats sad 😢

Brother tappu tilibedi UI nalli heliro vicharana UPENDRA cinema Tara raw agi expect madidre, kandita censor board avru cinema release agoke bidalla. Heegiruvaga avru e vicharakke iste softness kodoke saadya. Finally ond maatu ondu vele nimage UI movie na raw version alli nodbekandre OPERATION ANTHA cinema nodi. Both are same one raw and another is soft that's it. Dr.Upendra sir was very clear about his vision. Once again watch UI with focus don't expect anything. Thank you for your honest review.

Well said, you spoke my mind out. I felt the upendra movie was a timeless masterpiece and after the super movie seems uppi sir has gotten stuck in his philosophy and less on execution. Regarding UI movie the choppy camera movements, out of sync dubs, the characters randomly coming up, disappearing, songs can be questioned for its relevancy/lyrics and the choppy narration. Upendra movie is still a masterpiece even today and every scene, every song comes up so organically and blends in together where the audience never feels distracted while understanding the core of the movie. Uppi sir die hard fan here, we expect a lot from him.

Sir Agree most of part but just UI has less commercial flashiness compared to A, Upendra ( mainly dialogues and songs/his lyrics ) so ppl might have felt bit bored/confused, UI has deeper meaning bit more complex than A and upendra and less complex than uppi 2 , one point i want to make is ppl complaining characters coming randomly here and there , but for me it is not true. There might be more metaphors for characters but what i understood and can relate is : Vamana Rao/Katri seena : a politician who was nothing but becomes a king stealing ppl/society money , Bodyguards around him is power , dwarfs are nothing but ppl , which refers to Vamana and Maha bali Story Acyuth Rao : Guru as a straight forward , metaphorically Sun and Moon , which protects planet Earth in every possible way , Light and Dark Guruprasad : Representation of blind hope in society , no matter society in 2 piece still has a hope that some one ( leader ) will save them in multiple scenes Heroine : Can be taken as soul or Justice , Soul /Justice always based on truth but in Kaliyuga or current phase its kinda hidden , though soul likes/linked to truth in current phase it has no courage to link with truth , so at the end once truth ( satya ) dies soul/justice dies Satya and Kalki : Straight forward Joker : Straight forward ( Media )

I think for him to conceptualize a philosophy into a commercial movie while acting in other projects is taking time. But I certainly beleive that he's constantly updating himself which is evident. As a fan, yes I want him to direct more movies no doubt. Also about the spoon feeding part - I think it was deliberately done here for 2 reasons a) to ensure a person with below average IQ also has clues to cling on to the subject and thereby reach lot more audiences. b) could be producers influence to mellow down the complexity Nevertheless, I respect your opinion and hope that he directs many more movies and pens down many more songs because his 4-6 minute songs also have life altering values.

I didn't saw UI but i felt in Uppi2 he tried very hard to make it open ended which should have done more generically i felt. I feel he has to try new way to tell the things w.r.t screenplay and content as well still upendra is my favourite movie of director upendra

Well said , I hope this reaches out to upendra sir, thr writing of the movie was good other then spoon feeding part...the film is weak when it comes to making , the VFX was bad filled , the set looked especially the one before 2040 looks extremely artifical and fake, the actions scenes could have been directed well , none of them were engaging, it felt short of cinematic experience we were anticipating from a big kannada movie , next direction uppi sir must focus on quality making

Very well explained. Ui movie story/reality telling should have been better. No where near to your previous movies direction/presentation style. You want to make movies in a different way than previous ones? Fine… but make it in better way… very disappointed. And also try directing other actors(hero’s) for different genres, you don’t need to act in all the movies to convey your message… you need a better team… also try different genres like horror, thriller etc

I think you need to watch the movie again to understand the movie. Also watch interview with Murali Mohan and Editor Sri. Those two should give you enough food to think. UI is best movie for 2hrs 5mins. If Uppi added other masala and extra songs, it would have been diluted with 2hr 45mins movie. Normally general people wont be happy with OPEN ending movies but that not Uppi's fault.

Don't worry brother, this boring drag flick screenplay looked very intentional to show how mediocre our taste has become. Real UI is yet to release. UI DECODED: What we saw in theatre is not UI at all, just an imagination of a rejected script. Real UI is watched by the audience (rowdy, a couple and two girls kissing). We will see this movie in second UI release around May 2025. Heroine Sunny Leone. Part 2 will be total Uppi style and will be 🔥
