Man that Genesis brought me back, I remember how bad I wanted the 32x addon as a kid, but my dad said he got me something better that Christmas.. and he was right, he had gotten me (well us) a 1 year subscription to Sega Channel, if you don't know what Sega Channel is, it was the very first (I'm pretty sure) console game streaming service. It was this huge cartridge that went into the Sega and out of the back of the cartridge it connected to the cable box and via Sega cannel subscription they added like a random 40-60 full games you could play, along with cheat codes, and every month the games updated. It was so far ahead of it's time, I think Sega was always ahead of its time which is what caused their downfall with Dreamcast and the always online platform they tried to create. Either way Sega Channel was one of my fondest memories as a kid growing up in the 90s.

I still have a second-generation Sega Genesis built in 1993. It's still working like a BEAST after all these years. It even survived being under water in a flood in my basement last year! To this day, Sonic is still running the Green Hill Zone and Liu Kang still makes Fatality moves in Mortal Kombat... All the original cartridges purchased by my parents back when they were still on the market and STILL running smooth! Need a new A/V cable (RCA'll do) though, since my new TV doesn't recognize classic analog RF signals. 27 years of continuous gameplay and continuing precious memories!
