Home sweet home. I love that track. Spent 5 years crewing on a 360 sprint team. Great memories after high school. It's a challenge to most drivers. Tough break man. Come back and conquer Pville.

Mario Andretti once said : If everything seems under control, you're not going fast enough!! And my dad said "if you don't wreck one every now and then, you ain't pushing hard enough". Shake it off....cars not hurt, you're not hurt, it's part of the game. I still think you got an EPIC season ahead of you!!!

This vid is shades of how you'd been race day vlogging for years ... awesome to see again! Watched the race on Flo and it looked like you got pinched low by 7c, who impatiently almost wrecked twice in the previous lap. After passing you with a close slide job & drifting high coming out of four they had to know you'd be positioned underneath for a rematch entering one. And they _had_ to see your entire right front quarter on their immediate left before they started the turn. Hell, they had the entire outside 3/4s of the track to race on. But nope. They chose the old blind fool's dive bomb instead. Just glad to see you're okay. 👍👍

Glad to see that you're okay. Good to see that it looks like the wings as pretty as they were they did they're job of absorbing the impact of the roll I hope that nothing else is wrong with the car. Yep like you said that's a part of racing. It's sucks but that's also one of the things that I really really love about racing for the most part especially in midgets and sprints the cars are so well built that the drivers survive the wrecks with usually no more than a bump, bruise, a scratch and maybe a bruised ego. Haha thank you for sharing again and may y'all Have fun and take care

Placerville is barely a quarter mile around the very top edge of the track that's why it seems so small. Places like Chico are a quarter mile around the bottom. Placerville is the type of place that's valuable to learn how to race moving forward in your career.

Jumping on passing opportunities is what racing is about. There are times when it works and times when it doesn't. It looked like a really easy roll over and it looked like you only broke the wing. While you never like tearing up equipment, you have to stay aggressive.

We ran Placerville in the 80s. Great little track but as a car builder and crew chief I hate that red mud. It stains the car and is harder than all get out to clean off. You were looking good. Sorry about the flip but as they say : That's racing. Hope to see you at Grays Harbor raceway up here some day. Would love to hang out in the pits with you guys. I moved up here (Ocean Shores Washington) late 2020. Haven't been to the track yet. Seen some videos one when your sister ran here. I use to race (as crew chief) Vallejo speedway (60s and 70s as a fan) Antioch Speedway 70s 80s (car builder and crew chief) San Jose Speedway (80 to 88 as builder crew chief). We ran open shows at Watsonville, Nevada.

I'm glad you're OK Tanner. Threading the needle before the halfway point is not a good thing. Patience man, patience. I was impressed how good you were right out of the trailer. You looked a little slow coming out of 2, otherwise I think you were competitive and could have moved up to the 6-7th spot. The track is cool.

It sucks the 410 race got cancelled due to the wind and you put all that work into the 18T just to turn around and having to put the 360 in last minute, plus making it to the feature just to end up crashing 10 laps in. But all you can do is get up, brush the dust off ya and move forward. Hope y'all can do better next race.👍

Oh and for future reference that big berm down at the bottom of 1 and 2 has a jersey barrier buried under that dirt haha. Unless they have changed it in the past 10 years. My only visit as a spectator to Placerville was with my ~6 year old son. We arrived late, ended up sitting in a clay covered bleacher in Section F near the top. It was a NARC points race, and the drivers threw out signed and numbered Frisbees for their car. We, of course, had no chance to get one, and so we headed to the restrooms. When my son came out of the bathroom, he noticed a Frisbee under the stands, that are fenced in with a chainlink fence. I grabbed the bottom of the fence and pushed him under and he ran and got the Frisbee. As soon as he came out from under the fence, a huge hayseed of a dude grabbed me and said, "That's mine. I dropped it." I gave him a bit of a shove and said, "No way. Get lost." He got real threatening, and so I said, "If it's yours, what's the car number?" He said 14, if I remember right. I turned it over and it was Jason McMillen's car, the number 2, if I recall. Jason did just like you did, Tanner. He saw an opening, went for it and crashed out in the main. When he was interviewed about it he said that he saw an opening and went for it, thinking there was enough room. "It's obvious I was wrong," he said. I think this must be a pretty regular occurrence at Placerville. We will see later this year, as I have tickets for the World of Outlaws event in the fall. Hopefully we will see you there.

I watched the 7 wildly dive bomb you twice. Mentally, I probably would have done the same thing you did (or maybe used up some more track on him). You just got caught in a pinch point trying not to hit him. Racing mid pack is just tough. It's so cut throat, no one wants to give an inch, even on lap 10 of 25. You need to get some track position to start the race. Need a good baseline setup for qualifying and heat races 👍
