When I first started following Sherpa and you Jamie, I wanted a dog but casually, the more I saw your companionship, the more I wanted the same. Thanks to you I met the most lovely dog that I get to spend my days with. Thank you 💕

Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉 They can be a lot of work, and bringing one into your home is absolutely life changing, but what you get back in return is a companion who will love you unconditionally, as long as they feel safe, and are provided structure. A week ago I adopted a shelter dog, after over 5 years of my first dog's passing. She'll never need to worry again. Of course she doesn't know that yet, but hopefully, after a few months, she will.

@fallbrkgrl Thank you! My first dog was a 14 year old rescue that didn't have long left but I wanted to give him the best. Something just spoke to me and two years after his passing I came across another soul needing a home and here we are, 5 years later and I will be honest to say that we saved each other.

Tip. Before putting plants in the holes , fill hole up with water and wait for it completely drain away. Doing that encourages the new plant to send its roots down further and they require less water from the surface.

There's a good chance you know this, but for those pothos plants you bought, you can just clip a length off of one you already have, stick it in water and it will root and grow. You can transfer it to dirt after it roots or just leave it in the water vase. They grow either way. Have fun making new plants!

You bought really great things and the new hedge you planted looks very good.😊 If everything is a little overgrown, there is a very good privacy screen. I'm always surprised at how skilled Sherp is and how he brought every single plant into the body. Dad had almost nothing to do. Doing a great job with planting your hedging bushes. That is a starling murmuration that you saw on your walk, such a wonderful sight. You have to let Sherpa out in your garden last thing, otherwise he gets you up in the night to go out - I have no garden, so if I do not take Madge out last thing, she gets me up at 2.00am to take her for a walk down the road! Sometimes she can go all night with no problem, having gone out around 6.30pm. It is not particularly pleasant having to take her out in the middle of the night, but there is only me, so it has to be done! The pleasures of being on your own with your dog. xxx

Not just a wheelbarrow, get yourself a hose to attach to the outside tap and save lugging buckets of water. They come in 50 and 100 ft lengths here in Canada so I'm sure you'll find the same back home. And planting stuff? Get a spade with a point instead of a straight edge to shift those rocks and pebbles. 😊 For your flower bed in the corner buy some packets of wildflower seeds and just toss them about and spread a little dirt over them so the birds don't gobble them up. They'll self seed, take little care, and look fab. I love that you're taking such good care of your beautiful property and planting hedges etc. It's already lovely and suits Sherpa to bits, and you're making it a home sweet home. Your view alone is captivating. Lucky lad! 👍😎

Jamie, the new shrubs for a hedge look great in the ground. You do need a wheelbarrow or a wagon to haul things around your large garden. It will look pretty to have a flower bed in that far corner. I agree about putting the Pothos plants in the upper four corners of the room. They will look very pretty when the vines start hanging down, or creeping along the ledges. The harness looks great on Sherpa, and it helps you to help him get down out of Big Red without using a step. The rain sure was helping you to water your newly planted shrubs. It was great to see Sherpa trotting on the walk. He is such a great dog!
