We Went To Disney's Aulani Resort In Hawaii! | Pre Travel Day, Hotel At MCO & Aulani 1 Bedroom Tour!

In today’s vlog we start our Aulani trip series! Finally, yay! We start with our pre travel day where we get packed, run some errands that we needed to do before the trip. We rented a new lens for the camera and Tim needed a haircut, then we head to the airport to check into the Hyatt for the night. We had a really early flight so staying at the airport just made everything a bit easier. We give you a quick room tour, eat some dinner and head to bed. The next morning we head down to the airport and hop on our first flight to St. Paul, Minnesota where we see snow! It was so neat and it was Jackson’s first time seeing snow too, so it was special! Then we get back on a plane and head to Hawaii! It was about a 9 hour flight and Jackson slept most of the time which was great! He did such a good job on the plane flights, we were so proud of him. We arrived in beautiful, sunny Hawaii and then we head to Aulani where we give you a tour of our 1 bedroom villa. We had a long travel day but we can’t wait to share the rest of this amazing trip with you all! Thank you for joining us on this adventure! In case you were wondering: The doors on your Hyatt balcony were locked due to suicides from the balcony. The last was in 2019. It’s a safety precaution taken after the last one and to prevent further tragedy and trauma for guests traveling through.

Wow! That’s so sad! I used to enjoy those lobby balconies at Hyatt Regency MCO. Does the same hold true for the balconies that overlook the runways?

I was there in 2019 when that TSA agent jumped. We had just landed from DFW to start our 6 day Disney Vacation. What a sad turn of events it was that day. Glad to hear they have locked those doors to prevent it from happening again. I will forever remember February 2nd, 2019.

Love visiting Hawaii. Aulani is on my bucket list. Highly recommend next time you visit (when Jaxson is older) visiting Maui and Kauai and doing non resort activities. I find O’ahu to be overly touristy and the other islands have a lot more to offer in terms of sights and experiences. But when traveling with young ones, resorts are a great way to kick back and relax without the stress that comes with traveling around the island with an infant

Hi Jenn, back in the day I was a new mom preparing for our first WDW trip with a 5 yr old. I prepared a packing list on the computer that I use till this day but I’ve deleted and added as we needed. I think when you have a list you can start pulling out what you need a little each day before the trip. I typically start with toiletry items ( in case I need to buy) and then go to clothes and then the day before items I might need to have for the plane. Good luck!

I always love how in depth tim makes the hotel room tours!!!! I used to take videos of the hotel rooms my family used to stay at when I was younger when we'd go on vacation, and they'd always make fun of how I'd record every little detail, but I treasure it sm now cause it helps bring me back and ik Jackson will appreciate it a ton when he's older!

SO FUN!!! What a good traveler Jackson has become!!! My little son had a similar trip. We got in due to delays at sometime after 2am. He wasn’t in bed until 3ish. Tim and Jen We just got back from Aulani a few weeks ago. Very excited for you all. Just a hint There is an awesome store across the street in the small shopping plaza called ABC store. They have just about everything you could want including great breakfasts at less than half the price of the resort. We are there everyday !! The Poke bowls at Aulani were fantastic !!!
