That video touched me because I was homeless for 5 yrs.. Homeless has different meanings. I had a great job making good money but i found out that my husband at the time was seeing other people behind my back and wasn't paying the rent were we lived for an entire yr. So me and my girls were sat out a week before Christmas. Than they sued me. Which took almost most of my pay. So I couldn't afford a place to live. I slept on friends couches. Homeless also means when you don't have your own place. Long story short almost 6 yrs ago I got an apt and my girls back and haven't turned back..This was awesome Ezee bless you and your friends. ❤️

I hear you, mama. I had lost my apt after being laid off my job, right after my husband left me and my kids. I was put into a shelter program. They took me out of the city and into some town that had no buses (I had no car at the time) and I had to run across a highway and walk for miles just to get groceries for my babies. I almost got kicked out of the shelter program because I asked another single mom in the program to watch my kids for me so they wouldn't have to run across a busy highway... they said having someone watch my kids violated the shelter rules... it was a nightmare and I could have easily been on the streets. I felt abandoned and busted my butt to get a place for me and my kids. I'm glad your situation is better, as is mine. Much love to you and yours. Keep giving in this life even if it is just sharing your story and some kindness. Blessings. 🥰

I'm going to use my comment today to give props to Amber's Closet just for being a true genuine friend. One that has a heart for her ppl. Her spirit jumps off the screen, I see the calming force and voice of wisdom she provides to their friend group CA$E. THIS is what it’s about! This is the best video you’ve ever done. I used to bring food to people on Lower Walker downtown Chicago. It kept me balanced. It kept me awake mentally and appreciative of the little things. Then my family fell on hard times (homelessness doesn’t always occur due to drugs, alcoholism and mental illness) and we became homeless for some years. I saw the other side of the situation from a first hand perspective. It was only then that I realized that people who give expecting nothing in return are rare in this life.
