I am so jealous of you two. I love going to shows like that one. I feel like a kid in a sweet shop looking at all that gear. I am hoping to make the Earnest Doe Show this year. I am on the lookout for a 12volt mini clip on chainsaw grinder type sharpener. Saw them last year and forgot to buy one as distracted by the wares on of in the food tent. Always a great show. Thanks for bringing us along....

With the help of Bernwode Designs near Bicester, I invented the now ubiquitous grain pusher over 40 years ago! We started with 15 feet, went straight to 20 feet a week later, and then 30 feet mounted on a well ballasted Volvo 4200. We finished up at Minworth grain store [the old WWII Spitfire factory near Birmingham] with 60 footers that could push wheat 30 feet high mounted on a Volvo 4400. Between Finmere near Buckingham, Stratton St Margaret and Blunsdon, both near Swindon, West Bromwich, Minworth and Lutterworth I had some 700,000 tonnes of wheat and barley in store for the Intervention Board for Agricultural Produce courtesy of the Home-Grown Cereals Authority. Some wheat was in store for 5 years and the quality was such we could still grind it for flour and make bread rolls from it for our Christmas party!
