Wotcha Mike! It’s your favourite Scimitar video star from a few years back! Great video as always and very interested in your thoughts on the whole weekend. You mentioned that there were no Scimitars present. The usual Scimitar suspects decided that we wouldn’t attend when they moved the event to the August Bank Holiday. Why did the organisers think that old cars and Bank Holiday traffic was a good mix AND they still ran the event from Friday to the Sunday which meant that many people were returning home on the Bank Holiday Monday and doing battle on the crowded roads……genius! Another “downer” was the change in the event name “Classic” to “Festival”. You hit the nail on the head where you say that it’s become more family friendly and it, in my opinion, has lost its classic car and classic club feel. Now it’s just another poor man’s Carfest? If you’re not going in 2025, get yer butt to Scimfest instead….. a lot cheaper and knee deep in Scimitars 👍🏁🏁. Anyways, rant over and hope you’ve dried the tent out!! Cheers, Kev O

Hey Kev! Thanks for watching my lover! It seems we agree on all the points with Silverstone! I feel like I may return every 3-5 years or so! I REALLY want to come to Scimfest next year! Would be so cool to meet some people and some cars too!

i visited silverstone in the 90's and had a lot of fun their... i think you had lot's of fun too, nice
