For anyone who's interested in trying out Crypto and need some tips: -Do not spend more than 7-15 seconds in drone when there's sqauds around. It takes 2 seconds to pull out drone and pilot and coming out of drone. -unless using coms, scan banners frequently to inform your teamates of nearby squads. -The drone's detection radius (not to be confused with scan distance) is about 250m iirc. Its approximately the size of your minimap so when a squad enters the drone's radius as indicated by the banners, a squad is lurking within your minimap range. -The drone has 50HP so try to keep it alive as much as possible. -Always try to carry a respawn beacon with you and notify your allies that you carry one by pinging it in your inventory. -carry at least ONE ultimate accelerant especially for the final squads. You can also carry gold helmet (or negotiate trade with your allies. Most will understand and give it to you.) -Never throw the drone to use EMP without piloting it. It WILL get destroyed. -Crypto has the luxury of using scan beacons safely using drone. Not a tip but i can name one fun thing about crypto. You get to follow the last member of an enemy squad running for their lives as your teamates chase them like rabbid dogs.

Being in two places at the same time. You can pick up banners and respawn them faster than anyone else.

-Also whenever you're locking down an area, THROW YOUR DRONE TO MONITOR SIGHTLINES, CORNERS, and KILL ZONES. *In the heat of battle enemies may overlook the drone and you get free scans* . -In straight up 3v3 engagements, throw your drone in the direction of the enemy as if it were a bloodhound scan. Once you get the initial scan recall your drone. Repeat as necessary -In tense situations when enemies are rushing your position, don't be afraid to self EMP. -Crypto is the only recon legend that functions more as a support. For this reason you should carry WAY more shields than heals, and try not to be the point man in most engagements.

Crypto main here, long time viewer! You really did hit on the best way to play him: scout with the drone when things are quiet, throw the drone out to keep yourself from getting flanked in close quarters. The most recent buff finally made that latter part feasible. And that last-ring revive clutch, god, thing of BEAUTY!

1:28 Shinobi did what the typical Wraith does: 1 - Solo hot drop. 2 - Die. 3 - Quit. It's why I don't bother playing with 95% of the Wraiths I get teamed with.

Crypto is my 2nd main after pathfinder He’s too good if you know map layouts and pullout the drone when needed Post it up in fights And ult properly (destroy fences, últs, etc) You always know how many squads around you. The quick drone throw on corners as you take the other angel makes them either shoot you or the drone and a lot of people will aim at the drone out of instinct so it’s like a second to .5 of a second where you have free aim at them
