I'm a smoker runner too. Only marijuana though. Not going to lie it somehow helps me tap into this zone where I can have better breath control and a clearer mind. I love this channel…it renewed my love for track and field but most importantly the objectivity and passion in it makes it a joy to follow. So many channels are biased to one nation and many commentators have no respect for African and global athletes…you always take time to pronounce names correctly and give equal attention to athletic success regardless of where the person is from. Keep up the good work!

Look up Birgit Fischer. She won gold medals in 6 different Olympic Games. That's a span of 24 years. She competed in the sport of Sprint Kayaking. Hard to compare kayakers with runners, nevertheless, I think you'd be hard-pressed to find another athlete who won gold medals in the Olympics over a longer time span. It's impressive.

Kenenisa Bekele was compared unfairly, because you stuck to one type of race for him but took all races for Kipchoge. Here's the fair comparison of first and most recent world titles - Bekele: 1st world title 2002 in Dublin, most recent world title 2020 in London (18 years) - Kipchoge: 1st world title 2003 in Paris, most recent world title 2021 in Tokyo (18 years) What's uncontroversial is that Kipchoge is the greatest marathoner of all time. But Bekele is right there with him once you broaden the scope to greatest long-distance runner ever

As much I love Kipchoge and will always root for him as the greatest marathoner ever, I have to view his 2016 Olympic victory with a big fat asterisk. Nike equipped him and the other two medalist with secret Vaporfly prototypes that almost no one else in the field had. well eliud is the greates marathoner but by far not the best long distance runner this title either belongs to kenenisa or to haile gebrsalassie. Yes eliud won the 2003 WC Gold but Kenenisa won Gold in 2003 WC and bronze Gold in 2004 olympics and a silver gold in 2005 WC Gold in 2007 WC the DOUBLE GOLD at the olympics in 2008 ( a feat eliud has never accomplished doubleing two events or even winning them and then again a golden double at 2009) WC. plus kenenisa has better PB´s (WR`s ) then eliud in everything but the marathon were kenenisa was just 2 seconds off eliud´s PB don´t missunderstand me because eliud is great but he was never on par with kenenisa who was plagued by injury his entrie life from 2011 till now Kenny destroyed everything including eliud in track races and XC where btw Kenenisa WON 11 WC GOLD MEDALS

Great Champion and Great Record, but what we are wrong about as your Clickbait Title says? Comparing apples to oranges? Does it makes any sense comparing two different categories, sure they are part of Track and Field Events, but still ! If you really want to compare apples to oranges then the Greatest Athlete of all time is Michael Plelps with 23 Gold(total 28) Medals in Olympics alone over 4 Olympics (2000-2016), but does it makes sense to compare swimming with track & fields? Mid to long distance running requires different skill sets. You simply cannot compare an athelete who competes in 100/200/relay race with someone who runs 5000/10000 meter race !

To think that this man raced against a prime time El G, and is still racing, is amazing. Considering El G retired 17 years ago. FWIW...and this is tangential....Al Oerter won Olympic Gold in 56, 60, 64 and 68. His bid to come back in 1980 yielded only a 4th place in the Trials.....but in an exhibition that year, he threw a World best throw, that still beats the current World Record. 24 years. But I agree.....Kipchoge is the most enduring champion, and I think he will win in Paris..............great vid as always.

TRP. An amazing, truly fantastic, video. Well researched, top quality and very well presented. This video could go as a "filler" video for any of the main networks, Sports programs. Many thanks. Cheers.
