Hey Blake glad to see you’re doing well! I actually had a similar accident Dec 27th of this year… went and ran across the lake that my cabin is on to check it out… make it across, turned around and started following my tracks at 50-55mph until all I remembered was looking at the sky. Ended up jamming my shoulder pretty good but same thing sled was good to go! I didn’t break anything thankfully but know the feeling of the doubt about what comes next after something like that. Flukes happen! I got back on my sled two weeks after and still dealing with a little shoulder discomfort every now and then but with time it’s getting better. Glad to see ya doing good! And yes, your friends probably saved your life. Keep ‘em close!

Hope you heal well just take it easy I was in a motorcycle accident almost 20 yrs ago and I'm still having problems! Pretty ironic I was Wheelying in the rain on my ZRX 1100 and broke my collarbone and my vertebrae! ( I've been riding since I was 5) So to say I can ride wouldn't be wrong, But now in my late 50s you do realize some things don't ever completely heal so be careful out there I'm still out riding so I have no complaints either 👍👍 Glad you're doing better...

This is why I wear a tekvest every time I get on a sled. Never know what’s gonna happen. Glad to hear you’re doing better!! Wheeeelieeessss!

Glad you’re getting a TekVest. Back in 2014 I held the hand of a friend as he died from his blunt force trauma. Steve Brand from TekVest reached out to me after I wrote an article about my friend. Since that day, I have not ridden a sled without wearing my vest. My son has one and he said it was like being hugged. I wish you a speedy recovery and a long sledding life. If you ever make it to MN for Haydays, let me know. I’ll have a beer set aside for ya. Tom

I always wear my tekvest. We lost a local rider a few years ago. The ER said if he would have been wearing a vest he would have made it.

That sounded lika a really gnarly situation! Low visibillity tend to challange even the most experienced riders. Very happy to hear you about the accelerated recovery. Lets not keep the booster waiting too long or you'll be breaking it in once again ;) Best wishes from Sweden!

Thanks for talking about the accident, glad you are still here! I had a little run in with a groomer back in 2004, my tekvest saved me from some serious injuries, ended up with a broken rib or two. Snowmobiling is life though, so I bought another one that same day! Stay strong! Wheeeeeeelieessss!

I forgot to come here when Jesse was talking about you in 1 of his videos. Glad you're ok. 20 years ago I broke my arm riding. I didn't ride again until this year. It wasn't so much the accident I just kind of lost interest in it for some reason. I picked up a 21 assault 850 and man things have sure changed in two decades. These newer sleds are awesome!
