The guys in BABYMETAL's backing band can play pretty much anything that can be played on their instruments. They always have backing tracks for synth and effects and whatnot. You need to see live clips of them to truly appreciate the talent. But yeah, both of these bands playing together at the same festival this weekend in Japan, this will be good...

It does appear that BABYMETAL is really trying to expand their (?) range. Su is singing in English in this video as well as in the Bring Me the Horizon collaboration. The video itself is really the first time I have seen all three ladies in a context other than their strict choreographed routines. They have been performing for over ten years but the oldest is still only in her mid twenties. And yes, I have never heard of Electric Callboy before this.

Welcome back to the Foxhole, it's been a while.🦊🤘🔥 I was hoping to see you around with more BM songs since your last reaction. Some reactors and fans couldn't wait for the official MV release, but you did a great job 🦊🤘🐭lol Most likely they will be playing this together at FOX_FEST Festival next weekend May 25 and 26 in Japan along with many more artists and bands such Polyphia so can't wait for the live version. The "hips don't lie" is definitely a Shakira reference. The "Fu Fu" (or more like "wu-uh wu-uh") part sounds like Backstreet Boys - Everybody female backing chorus and also I think I heard in a K-pop song, not sure which one. The "push it to the limit" line it could be an homage to Scarface's movie, another post disco, dance rock song with guitar elements. Btw I thought the second "Are you ready?" chorus was MomoMetal doing the backing growling but they didn't show that, we'll see in the live version. Love the euro trance elements mixed with metal, they also did it with Time Wave, one of my favorite BM song from latest album The Other One. There's probably more references but I'm so far away from pop culture nowadays that i probably missing a lot more. *_THANK YOU._* Youre literally the first out of lile 100 reactions Ive watched who realize theyre actually in the same musical space. For some weird fakking reason people think they are so very different thay they dont understand how they blend so well. Its not as obvious as it maybe should be due to the absolute chasm of difference in vocal style. But if you remove the vocals and just listen to the instrumentals, they have *_many_* songs that are extremely similar in style. Still different enough to put their own tint on this production but so similar is literally feels like this isnt even a colab but the the actual concept of one band. To answer the question : Is this an EC song or a Babymetal song? ... Yes.

It's a Babymetal song featuring Electric Callboy. But produced by the Schillo Bothers. Pascal Schillo is one of EC's guitarists and he is in charge of producing ALL EC song. His brothers conceptionalizes and produces 95% of EC's videos, including this one. That's why song and video look and sound like so EC-esque even it's a Babymetal song.

When they performed it live at FOX_FEST they did it during Babymetal's set and the Kami Band played the instruments. They will be playing some festivals in Europe in the coming weeks so we will see if and how they perform it at some of those events.
