"We Were Recruits" is a motivational documentary film, about the heroes of the Third Assault Brigade.
On May 2nd, in all cinemas across the country,
The audience will witness the journey of a young recruit nicknamed "Journalist," who managed to negotiate joining a group of professional assault troops and reconnaissance operatives from the Third Separate Assault Brigade on the frontline. The journey begins at the unit's base and leads the audience to the front lines. The film will also incorporate documentary footage captured by the soldiers during combat missions.
"We Were Recruits" is a film of message, motivation, and manifesto for future recruits, as well as for Ukrainians and the global audience, to understand who the true heroes of today are. The film delves into the characters of eight fighters from the Third Separate Assault Brigade, portraying them not only as professional soldiers but also as individuals, philosophers, and ordinary guys with dreams of families and a peaceful life in their country.
