"And the Lord said, "Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language, and this is only the beginning of what they will do. And nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them." Genesis 11:6 Simple observation of a summary of this story.

Anyone notice that the ai art used for this pictures kinda sucks? That man's right foot is backward. Not sure when the picture pops up but at 8:55 I can still see it on my screen

Note this, in Jewish/Hebrew tradition, Demon's, had trouble with duplicating our bodies, as to hands and feet, seems AI has the same problem, also note, AI might well fullfil all the notions about the demonic.... A ethereal non corporal entity, able to directly interact with the minds of men .... Just to touch the surface of a deep well...... Nothing is new, under the sun, .......

With all this “constructive” criticism, I’m excited to listen to everybody’s stories so they can demonstrate how it’s done and I can offer my own critiques. Constructively, of course.
@Lord_Ronin_The_CompassionateАй бұрын
I hope this doesn’t sound odd, but to be honest I much prefer your opinion/attitude towards the writer of the story. It’s self evident that there are far too many armchair critics, offering nothing but sarcasm and rude criticism. It’s far easier to be a sarcastic critic but it’s fairly clear that they don’t have what it takes to write their own story and they show their cowardice and jealousy through their actions as they don’t write their own stories to be uploaded and critiqued by strangers on the internet. I’m much more interested and impressed by those that write their own stories and upload them for the entertainment of complete strangers. That takes a lot of “courage” and trust, that those of us that read their stories appreciate the value of their work. I prefer to offer comments of the kind you mention - “constructive criticism/feedback” is far more important and hopefully helps the authors understand what we enjoyed and what parts weren’t as good. Hope that I’ve made sense and not confused you with my rambling comments? For what it’s worth, might I offer my thoughts on the audiobooks on sci-fi, many of which are 40-hours or more longer and detailed, with characters that are less than two dimensional. One writer that writes a lot of books and might be interesting for you is Shane Lochlann Black. All the best and I hope you enjoy the extended books or multi-series sets.

Found something useful perhaps - “The War” “Complete Story of the Marine Space Corps” which is 55hrs plus a bit longer. It’s in the section “audiobooks:full length” All the books that I’ve listened too so far*, are very well written and narrated properly instead of an AI, it’s just not possible to find an AI with correct grammar, word contractions, and most importantly of all, including the hard to imitate emotional elements. Whilst we probably have different tastes in the type of subject matter, I hope you find something interesting. David Burley in Wharfedale, West Riding of Yorkshire (aka original Garden of Eden!) *not much to do in a hospice, Stage 4B terminal C. After it metastasised I was told i was well overdue falling off my perch, but that was 2012 and I’d only been back in civilian life after serving 1978-2006, I met a lovely woman that turned out to be a Palliative Care Consultant at the hospice I spend time in. My “shelf life”, best before date”, “use by…” has been extended many times but that’s what happens when you’re a stubborn, bloody minded, Scottish/Yorkshireman.

the AI art Broke the human at the waist. His torso is facing us but his legs are going the other way round. It's like that scene in Iron man 2 where others are trying to make an Iron man type suit and the suit twists around 180 at the waist breaking the spine of the guy inside it.

Why would anyone train any alien they dont know? How can this be considered good when no one even asked why they want to learn this before going ahead and helping them?
@ScottLafray-dd2fp7 ай бұрын
How inept and idiotic can the aliens be? They show up with an FTL ship and advanced tech... And get beat by villagers with spears and rakes. WTF, man. Makes no sense. If all it took was willpower, not firepower, to win wars, the world would be a much different place. You gotta have both to win in combat.

Bit of a problem with this. What does it take to travel through space? Well.. first your species has to survive a good portion of the evolutionary process.. you must develop some form of science and technology. You then have to have the balls to strap yourself onto something to be hurled into space. That takes needing to do something even though it is risky. It doesn't make much sense that these aliens had to go find humans to teach them how to do this. Furthermore alot of this story doesn't make sense. They fly to earth using this advanced technology but then have to wander around and basically stumble onto a village? You're telling me they didn't have a means to figure out where a settlement is before they even landed? Astronauts on the ISS can do that with the naked eye while in orbit and these aliens flew how many lightyears to get here? Also for some reason this super mean aggressive alien species shows up to attack this village and decide on a ground assault? Why the fuck would you bother? If you've been out conquering planets, you didn't do it with ground invasions. The ground invasions come later but you soften the target with aerial or orbital strikes. There was absolutely no beneficial reason for them to attack on the ground, not to mention they got beat by a couple of dudes with some spears and make shift weapons and were somehow lured onto a fallen tree bridge? Why the fuck would you follow them onto the tree bridge. You see the dip shit out there standing on it.. why not use your weapon or even get a couple of guys together and just push the end of the tree off the cliff causing it to fall along with the guy standing on top if it? I get the idea the writer had with this one, but the story doesn't make sense. It makes all of these aliens seem like a bunch of dumb asses that needed to be told "hey sometimes stuff is risky but you gotta do it anyways", as if that is something that would be unknown to them, even though they've apparently been traveling and exploring space for god knows how long? It would of made more sense for the humans to already be a known thing, and for other races to be confused at the behavior of humans and possibly underestimating them, by invading them and finding the humans very hard to actually put down for good and witnessing the humans doing all manner of crazy things to try and fight them off. That would of been a better example of "the human spirit" and would of made sense, at least more than trying to convey the idea this way. Seriously, this entire story boils down to "buck up kiddo and get it done".

Human stare at the phones for hours and eat substances disguised as food. They are trying to go to space by using internal combustion, which is ridiculous.
