Even other fans were puzzled how Spence is that good and he hasn't ever started a premier league game? he was better in the defensive aspects no one dribbled pass him unlike Porro who get passed constantly If we are facing teams with better wingers Spence is the right man for the job not Porro because Porro will be a liability defensively he has always been since he came in he can't be a better defensively he can only improve but can't be better because it's not natural in him I was disappointed how Ange casually respond to the reason why he hasn't gotten a start for so long saying that we have options in the RB position is being egotistical of him There no way Gray will be a first choice over Spence Ange clearly doesn't like Spence how many times has Porro been dribbled pass and Ange doesn't even bother to take him off and play Spence

I'm all in on Spence too but let's leave off on crticising Ange for not playing him. Most of you here were ready to sell him for a pittance not very long ago. It was Ange that made him part of the first team roster.

If the rumors of Spence's bad attitude is true, these 2 years football exile might have done him some good. If his play is any indication he has matured as a professional athlete and matured as a young man. Jedi Spence let's f****n go. COYS!!!!

After a commanding 5-0 win, it's clear that with the right adjustments, this team has the quality to push far after January and build for an even stronger next season. Ange’s high-pressing, high-line system is proving successful, and refining the squad in key areas will ensure consistency and sustainability. I CAN'T STRESS THIS ENOUGH: The defense remains a priority for improvement. Adding a sweeper-keeper like Maignan or somebody similar would enhance the team's ability to play out from the back and fully utilize a high defensive line. Tapsoba, rotating with Van de Ven and Romero, would bring crucial stability, while promising young defenders like Phillips, Dorrington, and Vuscuvic provide depth for rotation and future growth. Cambiasso is essential as cover for Udogie at left-back, ensuring that we avoid misusing versatile players like Gray, who should focus on his natural roles as a defensive and/or central midfielder rather than being shifted to fill gaps. On the right flank, both Spence and Porro should remain integral to the squad. Spence has the potential to thrive under Ange and should be fully integrated, rotating with Porro to provide quality options for both defensive and attacking roles. The midfield continues to impress with contributions from Bissouma, Sarr, Gray, Bentancur and Bergvall, they offer quality depth, while Devine, Hall and Abbott are promising future first-team players. With this talent pipeline, no new midfielders are needed in the near term. Offensively, the team is already one of the most potent in the league, making striker signings unnecessary for January. However, summer additions of Isak, Nico Williams, and Eze could significantly elevate the first team next season with PL, CL, FA, L CUP, Friendlies everywere + Internationals. Selling players who no longer fit the system-including Forsters, Whiteman, Radu (swap with Cambiasso), Davies, Reguilon, Solomon, Gil, Veliz, Richarlison, and Höjbjerg as well as Werner - will help streamline the squad and maintain alignment with Ange’s vision. Looking ahead (end of Jan) the ideal core consists of Vicario/Maignan in goal; Porro/Spence at right-back; Tapsoba, Romero, and Van de Ven rotating at center-back, Dorrington and Vuscovic.; Udogie and Cambiasso at left-back; a midfield unit of Sarr, Bissouma, Gray, Bentancur, Bergvall, Kulusevski, and Maddison; and a versatile forward line of Son, Solanke, Johnson, Odobert, Yang, Moore and Lanks. SUMMER - ADD: Isak, Eze and Nico Williams, while Devine, Philips and Scarlett returns back from loan. ANGE IN - COYS

@@SirTec-v9z Why are you abandoning Dragon, Davies and Forster. They've been great this season.
@SirTec-v9z23 минут бұрын
@@jamesNKYI3806Spurs should prioritize selling Forster, Radu, Davies, and Reguilón, as they no longer align with the team’s needs or Ange’s high-intensity, high-pressing system. Replacing them with Maignan, Tapsoba, and Cambiasso would significantly strengthen the squad. Fraser Forster: While a capable shot-stopper, Forster’s inability to play as a sweeper-keeper or contribute effectively with his feet limits the team's ability to maintain a high defensive line. Ange’s system demands a goalkeeper who can initiate attacks and sweep up behind the defense, making Maignan the ideal replacement. Radu: Radu has not shown enough to warrant keeping him as part of the squad, and he doesn’t offer the quality required to compete for a starting role. Bringing in Tapsoba, who can rotate with Van de Ven and Romero, would provide much-needed depth, stability, and the ball-playing ability required for a high-line defense. Ben Davies and Sergio Reguilón: Both players lack the agility, pace, and technical quality needed for Ange’s demanding system. Reguilón has struggled to cement a role at Spurs, and Davies, though reliable in the past, no longer fits the style of play. Signing Cambiasso would give Spurs a strong, versatile option at left-back who can rotate with Udogie, ensuring depth and maintaining quality on the left flank. Selling Forster, Radu, Davies, and Reguilón and seven more will free up crucial squad space and funds to bring in players like Maignan, Tapsoba, and Cambiasso-players who perfectly align with Ange’s vision for an attacking, high-pressing team capable of competing at the highest level. These upgrades are essential to maintaining Spurs' momentum and building a squad ready for both immediate and long-term success.

8/10 for DJed, what’s Ben on? He was flawless and didn’t put a foot wrong from literally the first minute. Considering he’s barely played I find that impressive. The guy’s assist set us up nice and early for the win for what may have been a tricky match on another occasion. Well done Spence

The opening assist by Spence I thought was really important because it displayed how we can get goals in periods of prolonged possession where we normally struggle.. that little bit of confidence and creativity to take on the player and break the line with through ball.. Exactly what we have been missing. Definitely needs starting in games where we know we will have a lot of possession.

Prolonged possession? In thirty seconds ?
@Adam-lt4fxСағат бұрын
@jamnewt7338 nah it's not about that.. it's about the position of play in that moment.. it's the same as in possession, almost the whole team was ahead of the ball. The same type of position as when cycling the ball back when in prolonged possession.

Spence a little overrated. Got a great assist which I’m so happy for. But apart from that didn’t do much. 7/7.5 would be fair. Hope he gets more game time and he did make a statement to Ange that he’s an idiot for not playing him.
