That is the most abused scripture in the church. The phrase only has meaning when used in the original context. It is often taken out of context and is not necessarily a blanket statement when used by it's self. The voice of the servant is only the voice of the Lord when they are speaking under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost. If you listened carefully they just admitted that they were men capable of making mistakes. It is our responsibility to take the spirit for our guide so that we know when they are speaking under the direction of the spirit.

In some aspects , the church has lost touch with the lower Wards. When they went and digitallized everything. Some things were lost and did not get transferred in the process. If you're a senior and do not have a computer, you are left out. Because anymore it's download this app or that app. It's very sad the direction the church is headed.😢
@taylorsessions41439 ай бұрын
Did the church lose touch or did the members lose touch? I'm 33 and despise using apps, keeping track of my log ins for this or for that. Yet the Lord has called me into positions where it's necessary to use His tools. I've even had counselors younger than me who I have assigned to make a Facebook post on the Ward page and they created a Facebook amount in order to fulfill the assignment. I'm not trying to contend with you, but rather I'm trying to add my experience. I've seen elderly couples come home from missions with incredible digital skills and they certainly put me to shame. We have leaders that are guiding us, it is our job to follow.

Why do people break off from the church? Because it doesn't fit their agenda ! They took some aspect of the word of God and cut out all the rest replacing it with their own evil ways ! It has happened in most every religion on the planet and that includes the Catholic, the Baptist , the church of God, the Methodist and the protestant churches. It nothing new, some people are power hungry, they want attention , rewards not earned. They mislead Gods weak minds and take advantage of their ignorance. Satan will claim them all if they don't learn for themselves what the true gospel is all about. In the scriptures it plainly tells us the devil leads us down , " little by little" so we can't tell what he is doing. Look at how the world is now . Women are exploiting themselves for foolish things , fame and money and men are encouraging them to expose their bodies and wallow in sin just like Sodom and Gomorah. Look at all this wickedness and killings, drugs etc. That is NOT Heavenly Fathers way. It is the wickedness of man and woman that is destroying our minds and taking away the innocence of our children leading all down to the pit of hell. We need to change. We need to open up our eyes. We need to drop on our knees and repent of our sins and ask for forgiveness from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ if we want any chance to be accepted back into Gods Heaven. Your choice , everyone has a choice to make better to make it now.

@@sirrichard87 The Holy Ghost has confirmed that this is the true church several times. Jesus Christ is the Jehovah spoken of in the old testament, who was prophesied to come. He did not pray to himself, instead he prayed to his Father in heaven. Have a great day!

@@taylorsessions4143 You mean יְהוָ֣ה (Yah·weh). Jehovah is an English language derivation. 'J' is not a Hebrew letter or sound. The LDS Church WAS His Church, in 1830, and through the Kirtland years. Now, not so much. It's an apostate remnant.
